Maya problems

I am currently doing animation tests using cameras and simple cubes, you know, just to test the program. Suddenly, for no reason at all, when I batch render my animations, they save in the maya folders as .ng files and .tmp files. How do I get rid of this GOD DAMNED problem? It's seriously pissing me off.

doesnt a thing come up where you can pick what file type you want to export as?

Yeah, I choose avi, and it saves as this "Filename.avi.tmp"
I just want to chop off the .tmp part from it. DAMN YOU STUPID BATCH RENDERING.

why dont you just rename it? If that doesnt work. fiddle around with the filename ext thing under the export type.

You seriously don't think I've tried that? I've tried EVERYTHING!! But I just reinstalled Windows (Only after saving my shotgun to a disk, of course) and I hope it will reset all the stuff when I reinstall Maya.

Yeas but getting things back the way you want and like isn't an easy task, well if you have around 150 media applications like myself that can be seen as very frustrating.

Think what you want it's hardly my fault your uneducated and use google as your history book, and if you don't think Americas gone to hell your in serious denial. By the way good luck fighting the Koreans cause your all getting drafted shortly.

And to fix that problem Rehab you have to mess about with video compressors that come with maya (i don't have maya so speaking general) i use max and if i had that probelm "batch" rendering i would try different formats in the advanced compressing format choices or rewriting a previous .avi to revert it back to it's defaults. The only time Max makes .tmp files for me if is i've added a bunch of sequence pngs, jpegs etc; for a motion texture, Reinstalling the appliaction won't help, just because an engine isn't working on a plane you don't make a new plane, you try and fix your mistake cause it will crop up from time to time (live & Load).
