Greetings, I am one of the guild masters of Shoujo Ai Showdown on GarmRO. We are looking to recruit some more experienced players (WoE/PvP) to join us.

About Us

As the name suggests this guild is based on Shoujo Ai series, and although we are hoping to mostly have Shoujo Ai related characters, character names from other anime are allowed, and exceptions will be made for friendly and knowledgeable players.

We WoE three times a week, we average over 10 castles every WoE. Thus far the highest number of castles kept at the end of a WoE session is 15. We average about 5-7 players on during each WoE out of our approximate 24 members, and despite being outnumbered a minimum of 2 to 1 every time, we always still come out with about or over 50% of the castles.

I've been playing mmorpgs for about 9 years- WoW, EQ, EQII, EQOA, FFXI, and Rappelz. On EQOA I was the co-leader of a high end raiding guild that still managed to have a family feel. What does EmPlani mean?
It's a shortened form of Empyrean Planisphere. Quite the odd words to use, hmm? Thematically it fits, and well, I happen to think that EmPlani sounds pretty and has a bit of a mystical feel to it. It's also a light tribute to touhou style naming conventions~

empyrean : an ideal place or state
planisphere : polar projection of the celestial sphere and the stars on a plane with adjustable circles or other appendages for showing celestial phenomena for any given time

What is the ~EmPlani~ server like?
Well, it's a lower rate (3/3/5 with 2.5 MVP), more hardcore, more traditional server that will bring about community and game play experiences closer to official servers. However, private servers also can benefit from some sorts of unique features that can act as a draw and provide enhanced experiences. In this case, we're focusing on two things.

The first focus?
One being the weather phenomena system, in which there are minor changes applied globally during different cycles of weathers. An example to this would be a minor boost to hp and accuracy during day time, sp and flee during night, and some weathers may influence strength, speed, luck, def, and so on. While it won't ruin anyone's day, it will provide moments in which players may be able to shine above normal, or may need to adjust to compensate for the change in conditions. The intent is to provide more immersion and make the play a bit more dynamic and lively~

...and if you are familiar with the touhou series, you may recognize that this got inspiration from Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and thus became a Scarlet Weather Ragnarok!

The second focus?
Two is the episodic story arc and also standalone quests plan. What this server won't have are spontaneous casual events that get run randomly -- like hide and seek, dice, and similar. However, there will still be planned events, that may include novice themes, monster challenges, pvp challenges, and more. BUT, its MAIN FOCUS is to provide regular _story_ related events or quests which will give creative content and story writers a chance to shine and have players enjoy those works. These may be GM run, NPC driven, or a combination of both.

Please tell us more about the weather system?
It's a bit of a surprise, so here's a teaser for you. Some weathers are good, some are bad, some can be both! These stack with the light and dark system as well, I'm sure many of you will find it fun. Effects can range from pretty much anything gameplay/combat related, including drops and speed. Don't worry though, the weathers are random for fairness, and the effects, while noticeable, will be slight. There won't be any such thing as a weather gimping a class or type, or making you unable to level or quest. It's all to provide a more dynamic and immersive experience. There's more! Additionally, seasons, or global events or story quests may also change some factors in the game world. It'll all fit into some sort of storyline or thematic purpose.

Anything else that makes this server unique or stand out?

Thematic Recurring Events?
We're launching with 1 Thematic Recurring Event. This event might evolve, there might be additional ones to be added on top of it, or perhaps they will get cycled. It'll all depend on how it goes! But for now, the first:

It's the Malignant Spirits of Weather system. Every time the weather changes, there's a chance that unbalanced powers in the world cause a town invasion to occur. Shall players actively band together to clear them, participating adventurers may seek out a Shrine Maiden, whom will gratefully reward them with a token that may be traded in for special items. Please look forwards to it!

What is your policy on multi-clienting?
As we have a community and social focus here, multi-clienting is punishable by jailing. So please don't do it period. We understand that it's difficult to force this restriction for various reasons, but please don't do it as we can and will catch up at any time.

What is your policy on AFK leveling and farming?
We have a 30 minute max AFK leveling policy. Enforcement GMs will check on this and issue a warning or jailing. As far as the autoloot timer, autoloot with automatically shut off after idling.

What is the donation policy?
No donation rewards period. This is a true no donations rewards server. None of that "we provide no rewards that advantage any players" but giving out a ton of OBBs, OPBs, OCAs, BBs, top tier consumables, and what not. Donations are accepted for those who wish to support the server though, and you will receive appreciation and thanks. I hope to attract a loyal following whom appreciates this ideal and concept, as there are not many servers of this type out there.

How will I be able to connect and play?
Download the Version 5 Installer!! Then visit the main site and click the register button and fill out the form. For more detailed directions, check out the main site or seek assistance on the forums. Also, the main site will be gradually upgraded with more features to integrate with the game. This way there will be more feelings of completeness. However, one of the design decisions of this server is to promote community as a top priority, so if something will take away opportunities for people to socialize and interact, it probably won't be implemented. :p

When will ~EmPlani~ launch and have its Grand Opening?
