Just curious what interesting stuff you find during your surfin' sessions. Post a link to anything you find interesting and would like to share.
I just read a really beautiful blog entry. That's about it right now. |

This cool site that gives an estimate on your writing style compared to some prominent author. I keep getting Cory Doctorow over and over, and after reading an excerpt, I'll have to say I agree (slightly). Another time I was compared to Vladimir Nabokov, the (in)famous author of pedobear book "Lolita," and another time I was compared to Margaret Mitchell which was... weird.

I got Arthur C. Clark. That was using an admissions essay, though. At some point, I will try again using a fiction story.
Edit: I just resubmitted the same thing and it gave me H.P. Lovecraft. So either its a gimmic that selects at random, or they've changed it / added authors since the last time I did it. Last edited by Nitz; 08-15-2010 at 10:53 PM. |

Hmm. It wasn't that way for me. It was consistent every time even with different submissions, even when I tested them multiple times to see if it would change, it didn't.

Small gallery of can't unsee.
Gives Me Hope, another website in the vein of FML. Mr.doob, an awesome site. It's a collection of small projects. Even cooler with a webcam and/or a touchscreen. Last edited by Dudeo; 08-16-2010 at 03:03 PM. |

New batch of links.
Born Magazine. A site filled with literary projects and style. Tons of OC. 8 Bit Peoples, an amalgamation of pixel art and chiptunes projects. Last edited by Dudeo; 08-19-2010 at 07:25 PM. |

Sporcle
Seems boring from the frontpage, but in reality it is an addictive quiz website that requires great memory. |

This song and video. For me it is highly addictive. It's a belt, by the way.

That's just how she was drawn. There are some pictures where it's fully on but I think the tail-like effect of the half fastened belt suits her character more. Also, I doubt it. She's an UTAU which is basically a free version of Vocaloid so it sounds less realistic.

I can understand what she's saying well enough, but I don't know Japanese, so it's not doing me much good.
By the way, fun fact: Popipo is a Japanese onomatopoeia for bones being broken (or so I've heard). |

For some reason, I don't think pointing a gun at some dude and having him cuss at you would help with a broken toe.
