So, I formatted my computer for several reasons, and figured all would be well. Unfortunately, every game I've tried since the format experiences severe graphical lag after about 20 minutes (they all worked fine before).
Any ideas? |

Not sure. Sounds like either a driver or drive partition problem. I can't give you much more in the way of diagnosis, unless I know more of what precisely you did.

Sounds like overheating but that doesnt really make sense with it happening after the format unless its a coincidence. Try another format? :P

dont suppose it could be a problem with your swap file? either too small, or its trying to use a bad bit of hard drive? could try doing a full disk scan to see if anything comes up.

One of my older computers had this problem and it ended up being an un-efficient power supply that would choke when I was gaming, and the graphic card wouldnt get enough power and lag

that's true, one thing i've learned over the years it that a crappy or failing power supply can be the cause of pretty much any problem.

I'll try doing this overnight.
I'm not good enough with the hardware side of things to know how to check this, or how to fix it if it's the problem. Fortunately, I'll be at the library all day tomorrow, so I'll look it up. Maybe. Also, since I haven't said it yet, thanks to everyone who's trying to help me out. |

So, after I got home from helping out around the library, my dad wanders into my room, and tells me he shut my computer off while I was gone because it smelled like it was burning.
aka, it WAS overheating. Problem is fixed now. Thanks again, bros. |
