...you really should use flash rather than swish, you will have a lot more control over the animation

flash is harder to use, swish is very easy to use, thats why i like it, if someone could help me with using flash then maybe i would consider it

Honestly, theres not much to flash. Make a drawing, press F6. Repeat until finished. Then you have an animation. Simple. After a while of these animations then you might try motion tweening or whatever.

what version of flash do i get? flash mx?

whats the easiest one to use??

get flash mx. possibly 2004 edition or whatever. you go on WAY too much about stuff being easy to use. Accept the fact that not everything in life has to be easy. That is what learning is for. Flash will become easier and easier as you use it, just like a hammer, or a paintbrush etc. Sure, flash requires more control over the animation. but swish being slightly more convinient doesn't mean it is better. it is also true that being harder doesn;t make something better either. ACTUALLY you can use whatever tool you want, don't let me pressure you into using flash, as it is not the tools that make the final result that count, its the final result that counts.
