Default The Ting Tings

They fail real friggin' hard. That's Not My Name is one of the least danceable dance tunes I've ever had the misfortune of hearing, and the lyrics are just atrocious. The rest of the album is just as uninspired and bland.

Suck it, Ting Tings.

I heard them on an indie satellite station just before I left for Belize!

They're really good. I recommended them to everyone with whom I discussed music for the next several days.

Granted, their songs are really hit or miss...

You send me into spirals of g-depression, because I occasionally see glimmers of good taste followed by long bouts of suckitis.

Everybody watch this.

That was actually pretty cool.

Would it help if I told you I really, REALLY like this song (even if it is kind of mainstream?)

Time to Pretend by MGMT

The music video sucks. I don't like it. But the song is wunderbar

Along those same lines, Sad, Sad City by Ghostland Observatory is also pretty cool

I'd never heard of this before, so I looked it up.
It makes me want to puncture my eardrums.

EDIT: Dear lord, the rest of their lyrics suck just as hard. So much wrenched construction its not even funny.

Oh man oh man, I loooove MGMT. Never really had a chance to listen to Ghostland Observatory, and I dunno why. I'll check it now.

I'm thoroughly enjoying what I've run across on the 'tube.

MGMT's playing at ACL fest in September but I don't have tickets yet. I probably won't go unless I get free tickets, which I usually do anyway

The list kind of sucks this year

I love the first one, by the MGMT's, whoever they are. Been listening to it for a while. Haven't listened to the second one yet, will post thoughts when I hear it. I know you are dying to hear my opinion.
