What Songs/Artists Should have Been in Guitar Hero?

I thought there were alot of songs that should have been in guitar hero but were replaced with repetitive oldies crap. (No offense to those that do like that find of music) Like Cherry Pie. What the fuck?! It's the same thing over and over and it sucks. There could've been a million better songs. I'm surprised Led Zepplin wasn't included and I thought there should have been more metal songs. (But that's just me :P) End of the Line by Arch Enemy has some pretty good riffs and some easier parts for beginners. I like the heavier songs because they tend to be more challenging and less repetitive.

So fire away! What do you think they should've added but didn't?

Cherry Pie pretty much blows imo, but that's okay because other people like it and that's super cool

If Only by Queens of the Stone Age would've been a really cool GH song. Too bad it's on their rare self-titled release and most popular music fans have no idea it exists. Demon Cleaner by Kyuss would've rocked some cocks, too.

"Snow (Hey Oh)" by RHCP would have been a good one instead of Suck My Kiss. Steve Vai, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, (though I think those two may have been in one of the games at some point) Coheed and Cambria, Sublime, The Darkness, Yes, and the Mars Volta all deserve songs on Guitar Hero.

I'm glad they finally put Muse and AFI in though, though I was somewhat surprised that AFI got in there.

Anyway, all they're doing is trying to appeal to as broad a demographic as they can. They can't please everybody.

Soulja Boy is popular mainly because of the dance and it's "superman!" line. It doesn't mean that it is a good song or that it should be in guitar hero or whatever.

You seem to mix up the term "popular" and "good". All I asked was what songs would be good for a rhythm game. Cherry Pie repeats the same lyrics and the same notes over and over making it a pretty boring song for a game like Guitar Hero.

3's and 7's was probably my favorite song in GH. QOTSA are pretty much the only band I like with "guitar solos" in a stricter sense of the word.

Ummm. Fail. Just fail.

1.) Soulja Boy is the best rap song of the year. Its actually listenable.
2.) Cherry Pie is a fucking amzing song.
3.) Its perfect for Guitar Hero. Not all songs should be insanely hard, its good to have some beginner songs.
4.) You seem to be mistaking good with long ongoing lyrics. Repetition can be very good in a song, especially for guitar parts.
