Default Creative Zen

I'm selling my Vision W to get this. Probably either the 16 or 32 gig model. I've seen it at Circuit City and it's a thing of beauty especially compared to my beast of an MP3 player.

It's so small. I'm afraid I'd break it if I tried to do anything with it.

Honestly, while it looks cool, is cheap, has a fair amount of space and is the size of a credit card, I think it looks like a piece of shit.

If I may, I highly recommend getting a 16GB iPod touch or an 80GB iPod classic. The touch has plenty of music and video capacities (well, depeding on how much of each you have/want) plus an internet browser that goes reasonably fast, but only if you have an LAN in your house/near or in your school. Otherwise, I'd get a classic. But I'm not gonna lie I hate Creative mp3 players with a passion.

Why do you hate them?

I hate Zen because when I bought my player they didn't inform me as to the system requirements. So AFTER I bought my Zen I found out that it didn't work with either of my computer or OS's, except for a Dell laptop with Windows XP, and they made it a pain in the ass to return so I was stuck with it. It didn't work with Alienware, HP computers, 2000, or Vista. When I did gain access to a Dell laptop with XP, I found out that either the USB cable or the port on my Zen was broken. So I was essentially stuck with the same 645 songs I put on there while my mom let me use her computer until I got a new mp3 player.

Then last October for a three year anniversary the most amazing girl in the world bought me an 80GB iPod classic and it worked like a charm with any computer I plugged it into as long as it had XP or OS X or better. And I like the iPod interface better than the Creative interface, and it's much more universal because its so popular.

As for the iPod touch, it's just really cool. I have a lot of fun with my brother's.

The ONLY things Zen has on iPod are FM radio, which isn't even that great, depending on where you live, and a voice recorder which also doesn't work very well. Other than that, most Zen products are just as good as iPods, except stores actually carry iPod accessories.

The new Creative Zen rivals the iPod nano in size and battery life but has the option of 16 or 32 gig versions. It's also cheaper than the nano.

What the hell, my sister got the new nano for her birthday, and it has the same capabilities as the video and it costed about $150 less.

I feel ripped off. :[

Yeah, except for the fact that it has a teeny tiny battery life, and what, like 8 gigs max?

I usually don't download that many songs so gigs isn't that big of a problem for me.

Yes, well. I'm not about to start defending Apple. I just like Apple's stuff better than Creative's. All I'm going to say is there's reason Creative's stuff is cheaper....

Because consumers are usually ignorant to a superior product once brand recognition has been established? Don't get me wrong, the iPod touch looks nice, but I'd like to have at least 30GB of storage space.

Right. Which is why I have an 80GB Classic but suckered my brother into getting the other one so I could play around on it.

I've tried Creative's stuff and I just don't like it as much as my iPod. They make good speakers and disc burners, but the media players, at least the one I got, disappointed.

How many MP3 players have you owned that weren't made by Apple?

Lets see. I think 2. Though, one was my friends I was borrowing for like 3 weeks, and one I sold so I could buy an iPod after having it for like, 4 months, I think.

So I decided to go with the 8 gig model because I wanted a few more videos on it etc.
One word: perfect!
Its really small, Plays all videos I have easily, Looks great.

Yes the usb cable is tiny. The buds that come with the player actually fit me so they are perfect for me, no need to buy new ones. Ask any specific questions.

I had a Dell DJ when they first came out at the same time as the iPod minis, a Creative Zen Micro photo, and a Zen Sleek Photo. Then around the time I was getting really fed up with the sleek photo I got my Classic.
