Mmkay... disregarding the fact that there are a ton of creationists out there who believe that evolution and creationism could actually perhaps *gasp* be linked, somehow... '-_- Even the Pope admitted that evolution sounds plausible.

First off, what does this have to do with creationism?
Secondly, when was this posted? I can't find a date. Thirdly, looks like a fake to me, sure, the thing defiantly looks like a trilobite, and finding a live one would have implications on science and the study of evolution that I couldn't even begin to imagine. But firstly, they said it was a river, trilobites were amphibious, they lived in water, and on land, and I doubt one would be able to survive stuck permanently in water. Also, if this is more than a couple of days old, it would have been all over the news. Finally, something like this is extremely easy to fake, all they would have to do is put that type of tail on a horseshoe crab, and make it look natural, and it would look just like one. |

Why are all creationists convinced that god couldn't have created some organisms, and then those organisms evolved into what we know today? Why is it impossible for evolution to be God's work?
By the way, I'm not religious. |

I actually believe the concepts of creation and evolution can, and probably do, co-exist. Why should people believe it's just one or the other?
btw, I am religious |

If this were real it would have been seriously groundbreaking and scientists would have jumped on it for research. In all honesty, I think this is fake, but I guess I can't say for sure.

That page says it's five feet in length, which is clearly a lie. That metal bar being used to manipulate it would be fucking gigantic.

This isn't the first time I've read about some prehistoric creature being found alive, so it's possible that it's true.
Edit: @Murdoch: That doesn't necessarily equate to heavy. |

To flip a 5 foot sea creature? It would kinda have to be, unless a piece of machinery was handling it.

Yeah, some sea creatures are really heavy and some are light, it all depends. Whoever it was that posted it was either an idiot or spoke a language that wasn't English.

It has the same physical structure as a horseshoe crab. They aren't very light. I'd hate to handle a 5 foot one.

You guys really need to check out Deism/Realism, which is the religion I find most probable, and the one I almost follow. It basically says that God created the universe to run itself, so all science and everything is true. Its just that God created the Big Bang. So God created the original organisms to evolve, and evolution is Gods device.

Well if Pokemon are coming into existence, we have a WHOLE other set of problems on our hands.
I always wondered as a kid, why the intelligent Pokemon just listened to the trainers orders unquestionably to fight each other to near-death....It sounds like slavery but the Pokemon always seemed willing. Everyone knows Pokemon in the real world would revolt and take over. |
