The CPU was cheap, and I was easily able to hit 3.6GHz out of the box without a voltage increase by simply increasing the multiplier.

I would overclock my Q6600 but I can't figure out how to do it on my motherboard, the BIOS update said it supported it but nothing in the BIOS changed. Whatever.

Ah wow...nice hardware and from what I see, you probably got a pretty good deal on it...hopefully.

I'm content with my 8800GT.

Actually, no I'm not. My computer crashes all the time and I can never play any games. Humbug.

I have two 8800GT's in SLI. It works for pretty much everything.

A single 8800GT is still capable of playing every game on the market, most of which should run pretty well. As long as Nvidia continues to support Geforce 8 SLI with future driver updates, your pair will be plenty for at least a couple more years.

Actually unless the 8800 is a dx10 card, it won't (i dont think it is but im too lazy to check). I've seen several games come out recently which require a dx10 card.

All Geforce 8 series cards are DirectX 10 compliant.
