there are 2 diffrent kinds of tweens. first is shape tween. you barely if ever use this. the 2nd type of tween is motion. using a motion tween, you can spin objects, move them, and make them ease into a motion, like a drag race. it can perform all at once, say, making an object roll twice while easing into a movement. sorry if that seems confusing.

you can also transform objects using a motion tween. you can make them skew, make them smaller, flip etc. if you do flips, the animation looks like crap, because flash simply renders bitmaps as flat sheets of paper. to do 3D roatations and such, you need a program called Swiff3D. i dont even reccomend you try that. im still learning how to work the camera controls. but it imports 3D animations into flash, so that you candisplay them as 3D looking objects.

and the answer to the 2nd one. no, i did not draw the guns or the corvette. i took them from krinkles madness combat. and i took the vette from stickdeath.com. i really didnt know how to draw guns very well.

www.flashkit.com has tutorials on just about everything, including load bars(mine dont work, im too lazy to fix them).

phew, tats a novel.

Theres no "proper" way of making flash movies. Like a paintbrush or a pencil, it is a tool for creativity. How you use the tool depends on your style/ideas. None of my animations use motion tweens much, I always have more fun drawing the movement oldskool style these days. It actually takes the same time as tweening once you get into it.

Hey MrNapalm32, that's a good link. I see there's a $hitload of stuff i can do with a motion tween. I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to make stuff spin but other than that...cool.

Oh yeah! i forgot! I was gonna buy the Flash 8 Pro tutorial book...the like "Teach yourself thing." Would you reccomend that? It's SUPER long but i think i could read and try stuff out and get better.

Thx

swiff 3D makes it 20x easier than frame by frame. problem is, its more expensive than flash, but that didnt stop me. ;)
