Just finished Jane Eyre for my AP Lit class. I actually really enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting it to be as interesting as it was. Now I'm in the middle of Lord of the Flies (also for the class). I like it, but I already saw the movie in my Sociology class so I know generally what happens.

Before I started the summer work, I was reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. I'll finish it once I'm done because so far it's incredible.

Which version did you see? The bad American one or the black and white English one?

I remembered that I HAVE read something - Spice and Wolf 1 (which I enjoyed). The anime, which I watched shortly after, was also pretty good.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhg I can't get into Jane Eyre at all, and I have to finish it for school. It's so bleak at the beginning.

I haven't read the book yet, but apparently some people don't find Rand's objective views very appealing. I'm actually up to read the book because it might actually be pretty interesting. Anyway, I've been trying to read up on this book I got called Hiroshima which is a book that follows the stories of several people who were around the city when the atomic bomb was dropped there during WWII. It's actually pretty damn good so far and I find the book to be quite powerful in the way that it describes the chaotic event from the perspectives of these individuals.

I hated Macbeth. It didn't help that we were made to listen to the audio version of it as we read... Very annoying.
