Default Do girls make better fighters?

I've seen this on an advert on I-can't-remember-which-site and thought, hmmm, do they? Discuss, and try not to say, "Because God likes girls better" or something gay like that.

Medieval Japan style, you know, with katanas and throwing stars and stuff, cuz that was the scene in the ad.

For the particular requested style, men are probably better suited. The big things behind the Bushido style were the katana, wazikashi, and the armor. The katana blade was wielded with two hands, and used with great force. The wazikashi was a back up blade, shorter than the katana, but used in much the same fashion (I think). And the armor, like most armor from that time, was pretty heavy.

You cannot simply say one gender makes better fighters. Even muscle composition doesn't make much of a difference. It comes down to the ability to read your opponent's movements, emotions, skill and downright power and reaction time. Sex has little to do with it, unless it is used as a weapon.

It was an ad, and in my opinion girls don't make better, they make the same.

EDIT: You were reffering to him, right? Well, it is men's nature to grow more muscle than women.

It's wakizashi.

Here lay a better question. When fully mastered, is there such a thing as a better fighting style?

Well, people could try doing other stuff. But no I don't think. Unless you reach the point where your sensei or whoever the f teaches you some new moves or something.

Well, in terms of raw style maybe but I still believe that the ability to both master a style and still be able to put a twist on it. Through this a fighter may ascend beyond the skill of any single or for that matter collective style.

Well, theres that whole 'theres always someone stronger' thing. For this reason, if you really want to be a good fighter, why stop at mastering a single style?

AWESOME RESPONSE. + 20 Respect points. As the first person on g-prime to gain respect points, Sam recieves another + 10 bonus points, and as the person he was insulting Samiam loses an additional 30 respect points.

Oh, and the most hardcore awesome fighting style is The Drunken Fist.

There's no better fighting style. Ask anyone who is into martial arts, and they will tell you, how well a style does depends on the situation.

Sometimes one is the best, sometimes another, or you can use a very versatile fighting style, but to be truly great you must know a different style for each situation depending on the style of your opponent, where you are fighting, why you are fighting, etc.

And I think men make better fighters usually (USUALLY, really it just depends on the person) because they are less emotional and can focus more on training, etc.

Not having the weak groin helps, but then again, you have a new weak-point on the soft chest area.

Yes, but Drunken Fist is the most hardcore.

*face-palm* You just lost an additional 300 respect points. No one has ever gone this far into the negatives before.

But 0 isn't a negative. If I lost additional 300 points, then that means I'd have to get 300 points, then they would be taken away.

You start at zero. And for your stupidity, -500 respect points. Total of -2900 respect points.
