I like it too, cause online play is free, and there are downloadable songs and stuff exclusive for PC

I'm going to get it for PS3...eventually. I went for Rock Band first though. Pretty awesome game. Drums are freakin' hard though.

I can now play every song on medium, but hard is just too hard. maybe thats why they call it that. I cant seem to ever hit the orange button on the far side. I only have 4 playing fingers, and theres 5 buttons

try moving your hand around, or playing the guitar in the wrong direction so you're stretching your pointer finger instead.

I heard the same, and the whammy bar supposedly breaks really easy on the guitar

i play drums, too, and when i played my buddy's rock band drums, the lag was pissing me off. fortunately, there is custom calibration in the settings. the tv i was using had an 80ms lag! after adjusting that, it was 10x easier.

but yeah, guitar hero iii is very very difficult. i like the xbox 360 version because of all the achivements. instead of practicing 1 song over and over to get better, i can just work on other achievements and get better as i go. good stuff.

Heh heh heheheh medium heh.

I just move my hand up and down. It's so much more fun once you get the hang of using the orange button. Hard and Expert is where the game really starts. Sounds can seem hard at first but just keep practicing and use hammer-ons and pull-offs whenever you can. They're really fun and feel awesome when you nail this huge solo.

Stricken is one of the more fun songs on GH. I love the hammer-ons and pull-offs. It's hard enough so that you really have to try yet easy enough so that you're basically strangling the neck of guitar, hoping you hit something. I just have to beat Raining Blood, One, and this other song that I forgot. I did beat Mark of the Beast I think.

Thats what I like about it too. Ive got all the pull-offs down, I get about 95% on medium, and low 80s to high 70s on hard.

I can do any song on Medium in the GH/Rock Band games (got GHIII today, haven't really played it much, but why assume any differently), and I can do quite a few on hard. I still need to practice quite a bit though.

I have both GH3 for the Wii and Rock Band for the PS3

I like the Rock Band Guitar better since you press the entire fret instead of a button shaped like the thumb (which real guitarists hardly ever use to play the guitar with)
