GoogleTV. I've watched this video lots of times, and constantly wonder if its real or not. I even tried it myself with my gmail account, but it didn't work. Possibly you will get lucky.

It is pretty obvious that he is trying to pull one over with the google tv thing. Just watch his other videos & you'll see that it's all kinda a laugh. For example, if you put a banana in the microwave, it doesnt prevent it from rotten, it explodes!

But some people might wonder how he pulled the google tv thing off:P

All he did was get someone to design a very "google-ey" webpage with a couple of links to opening credits from TV shows. Then he set the page up so that it opened it from his computer when a link on the internet links to "tv.google.com" Very clever guy! :P

Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LY8Wi7XRXCA&NR and you'll see that he's completely credible! It turns out that if you wrap an ethernet cord around your cellphone and then plug it in to your computer it'll boost you wireless signal. Then if you take a salad bowl and put tinfoil in it, then suspend the phone in the middle with tape it'll boost the signal even more!!! Wow!!!

alot of places (such as schools etc) automatically block proxy sites. if ur lucky, the blocker will not be up to date, so u will be able to use it for a week or so untill admins notice lots of ppl r goin on it n check it out themselves, work out what it is and block it. By which time a new 1 will be out that the admins and blockers wont know about.

just get a list @ home if u got a spare 5 mins, n try em out @ school 1 at a time. thats what we did, never ran out :)

Someone on another blog actually wrote in to Google asking them to confirm this video. I cannot remember the URL, but I remembered Google's reply saying that video is the result of the author's "immense imagination", GoogleTV does not exist, and also that the video provided the Google inhabitants with entertainment at the Googleplex.

So yeah, it is a hoax, for now. But very cleverly and convincingly put.

If you want Internet TV, take a look at Joost (http://www.joost.com/) (from the makers of Skype (http://www.skype.com) and Kazaa). Viacom (owners of the MTV franchise) just signed a deal.
There are also some startups offering "IP TV" (a set-top box connected to the Net) as an alternative to satellite (gets blocked by storms) or cable (gets cut).
