A friend of mine bought a PS3 with the intention of re-selling it, but after weeks of leaving it on Ebay, he decided to keep it. As of now, the only decent game was Resistance: Fall of Man, and even that wasn't any better than most of the first person shooters I've been playing on the PC for years.

Even though I'm not a console fan, I'd still like to own an Xbox360 as they're going to get a few decent exclusive titles.

If I were to get a PS3, one of the only games I'd want would be Assassin's Creed. I made a sig for it as well. Of course, that sig is on Greycobra because it is too pro for Gprime.

Right now there are NO good Wii exclusives, and it's a damn shame. Have you ever even played Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube? That game alone is reason enough to own the console.

Have you seen what they have coming out on the wii though, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption looks awsome and so does Fire Emblem: Tenative Title and Super Smash Bros Brawl. The Wii hasn't even been out for a year yet, they haven't even begun to release the good games yet.

You never know though, it's a little to early to decide considering not many games have come out yet aside from around 15 launch titles and a bunch of 360 games.

I can't help but laugh when I see an argument like this. Like Floyd pointed out, it's too early to decide. PS3 and Wii have been out for what? Two months? None of these systems are really going to be the same in a year. Thats when the consoles will really show their true forms.

PS3 still isn't coming out for another month in most of Europe and Australia, so that right there is really a real big fuck up.

yeah i occasionly play my ps2 (final fantasy series is awsome). but why didn't they release the ps3 in australia anyway? considering some of the comments i most likely won't buy it for awile anyway (leave untill a good game i like is realeased)

Sony has made some screw-ups but it doesn't mean I totally give up on their game systems. Right now I'm not liking the PS3 too much because of how its overpriced. I think the Wii is alright but it doesn't really get me to get off the computer and play it. Right now I think the best system for gaming is the PC.

not true, i dont use any nintendo products, and the xbox of mine crashes all the time. I am a movie fanboy. i use my ps2 as a DVD player.

All of the new systems suck. The only decent game on the Wii is Twilight Princess, and I can play that on the Gamecube with the same graphical quality, aside from the lack of 16:9 support, and I can use the free camera features as well, which has been lost on the Wii version. The 360 does have Gears of War, which is a decent game and they're getting Bioshock later this year which should be a blast, but then again, playing that in Direct X10 on my PC should be quite a bit nicer.

I think the the PS3 has some nice games coming up in 2007 and 2008.

Considering that Microsoft is a company run by a bunch of greedy people trying to get you to by every single component just to enjoy the 360 (or even the first xbox), I would have to go with PS3. I don't like the fact that the PS3 is $600, but I'd rather buy that than to keep putting money into a 360 just to download content for games that I've bought and just seem like demos without downloading anything. Almost everyone I know that has a Wii has problems with it or the games are too boring. I, personally, give the new Zelda game 5/5, but I am not looking forward to the new Metroid. I would have to predict that Square Enix is not going anywhere without Sony, so I would say that you could probably expect another Final Fantasy game on the PS3.

I didn't expect much from Nintendo after they came out with the Gamecube. The only decent title on Gamecube was Super Smash Bros. But I'm sidetracking here.

I would like to think that the PS3 is going to become better than the 360 though. The 360 is not a new console. It's been out for quite a while. I think that sales for the 360 are not going to continue going as smooth in about 2 years. After Metal Gear Solid for the PS3 comes out, I expect sales to increase twofold.

I had to try out the nifty web browser, DUH! I was disappointed to find that my keyboard for the Gamecube wasn't recognizedly by the Wii's web browser.

You didn't really have to try it by posting here with it. I didn't try posting with the Wii here because I feel it's too hard to do all the typing. It's just frustrating to type out all those sentences slowly. I just tried it out by watching a bunch of Youtube videos.

It just won't be the same.You do realize that the Xbox360 GPU consists of 16ROPs, 16TMUs, 48 unified shaders, and has 10MB of embedded DRAM? Not only is it faster than the PS3's cut down G71 based GPU, but it's basically Direct X10 compliant and has hardware support for tessellation. The embedded DRAM is capable of providing antialiasing and anisotropic filtering without a performance penalty. Thanks to the unified memory design, the GPU and CPU can dynamically allocate the 512MB of memory wherever it's needed, while the RSX and Cell each have 256MB of memory. Games like Gears of War would never look as good on the PS3 as the GPU does not have hardware support for antialiasing with FP16, where the Xbox360 can use the two together with no performance hit. The Cell only has 7 SPEs enabled to improve chip yields, and even then these "cores" aren't able to schedule their own tasks, and rely on the single PPE to even process the smallest tasks. If software catches up to the complexity of the Cell, it could have some promising results, but even then it won't be a stellar gaming CPU.

That's bull, and you know it.How about you post some evidence to back that up? The PS3's GPU is basically a 7900GT with half the ROPs and about half the memory bandwidth. I personally prefer gaming on my PC; my 8800GTX is faster than the Xbox 360 GPU and PS3 GPU combined.
