What do those of you who cared to buy it think so far, and those of you who don't intend on playing it but still have formed an opinion on how they think the game will be? I for one, hate it. I hate it I hate it I hate it I hate it I hate it. It's just terrible. The only good thing about this stupid game is the graphics. That's it. The combat is terrible, the music is like freaking nails on a chalkboard, the storyline is weak, and the characters have absolutely no personality. I don't know why SquareEnix even bothered making this peice of garbage...

What do you expect? It's Square Enix, everything they make sucks(except for Advent Children). However all the games made by SquareSoft are actually good, but they were bought out by Enix because of Final Fantasy Spirits within, which of course sucked. As for FF12, I heard the game sucks and has no replay value whatsoever from my friend and he had to waste his money on it as a birthday present for his sister.

Final Fantasy 13 doesn't seem too bad.

I think it's a pretty good game myself. Tough as hell the way I'm playing it though. The combat system is pretty solid, despite being different, and the storyline, should you really pay attention, is very intriguing. Problem is, it's a story with politics as a main focus point, and a lot of people find that boring, or just don't understand it.

It's not that I don't understand it. I'm just tired of thesame story that's been used so many times in these Final Fantasy games... but oh well, if that's what their fans like...

Same story? I wouldn't know. Only other one's I've played were X, X-2, and FFT.

I heard that the First Final Fantasy was supposed to be the last game that they would ever make before going bankrupt, which is why is was "Final" Fantasy. Turns out the game was great and they made more, and the fans seemed to like it. Mostly, I like Final Fantasy 1-9 I guess, anything above it just sucks.

Hmm, that's interesting. I didn't know that. It kinda sucks though, when they get you attatched to a group of characters and then in the next game you never see them again... although *ahem* we've seen their skills at making sequels thus far so...

Yes, kind of boring. I really don't see how you can hate it, the story is good unless you don't like politics, and the graphics and sound are amazing, most of the time I spent playing was looking around and listening to the beautiful music. Unless you're some sort of Final Fantasy fanboy/girl/purist/extremist, it's a good game.

I don't think it was meant to be like a series of sequels like that. If it were the same characters but different stories, then nobody would like Final Fantasy, that's probably why they would kind of change some things and maybe add in new concepts to the battle system or something. I mean, you don't see a game that has the same characters for the same series 12 times.
