On the topic of the pending festive season, I have a theory about Santa. I think he is realy Jesus's twin brother who was neglected by his parents and eventually turned to drugs. Then when Jesus died, he went insane and ventured to the North Pole, where he painted beautiful paintings. Then he sold them under the alias of "Steven". After some years of living off his art, he entered a dark time, becoming very depressed and turning to evil. He put sand in shoes at the beach, stole cooling pies from window sils, etc. Then one day he saw a kitty crying and decided to devote his life to good, giving away presents to good kids, and discriminating against the bad ones, calling them names and throwing rocks at them.

I'll just be doing the normal things you do on Christmas, I suppose. I certainly won't be throwing eggs at anyone's house. ^_^

I'm going to Mexico in a few weeks to get my friends presents and to buy a new bass, maybe. During the break, we start training for school soccer, so I don't think I'm going anywhere else.

Yes he was most likely born in between March and May, because in the bible it does mention the sheperds being in the hills, Luke 2:8 "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night." It would have been extremely cold at night in december in the hills, which would not make sense for sheperds to do. But yeah, It is more likely that he was born in the spring than the winter. The reason for it being done on December 25th is because the Catholics wanted to replace pagan holidays. Jesus' birth was apparently celebrated on January 6th before this. I don't really find it a problem celebrating on December 25th though. :holiday:

Interesting wording you use there...Well I know that he was crucified on thursday, and rose again on sunday. Nobody is really completely sure as to the exact date he was crucified, it was most likely in March or April. Of course its really wacky because Easter is celebrated at a different time of March/April each year. (Note that I think that Easter was originally a pagan holiday such as was Christmas). Actually I believe he was crucified during ( I'm not sure if this is what its called) Sabbath Week. I will get more on this later if you want.

Its very rare for the schools around here to get shut down by snow ( although they did this time, but Monday was already a pro-d day anyways) and besides, I'm a DL homeschool student... I don't really get a snow day... South Coast BC sucks for snow. I've had I believe 2 white Christmases in my life, and when it does snow here it doesn't really snow a whole lot like in ontario or any other place besides here. 16 inches is the most snow we've had in years, and its only november. I'm counting on the farmers almanac. anyways...

Meh. It's always good to get in the holiday spirit. Of course, that's difficult for me, considering there hasn't been a cloud in the sky for weeks and the high has been in the 80s since before Halloween.

For me, I'm only asking for a couple things for Christmas. Some more Fierce cologne, a pair of shoes, maybe some new sheets for my bed, couple shirts. I told my mom what I was asking for and she said the only thing I had to actually ask for for Christmas was the cologne. So I probably won't be getting much, which is fine, because then I won't feel bad about not giving much, as I am desperately broke. I'm also not going anywhere for the holidays.
