People say that the Nintendo DS is the N64 portable. It has the games a bit updated but they say a pro for it is Nintendo 64 grapics. That is more like a con when you think about it. No one would have like the PSP if it had Playstaion graphics, so why doesn't the DS have GameCube graphics? It doesn't have the potential or hardware. I mean, people say it has 3D games. It should; it shouldn't have to be said unless it is a hard thing for the system to do! The PSP has this generation of graphics but this generations graphics are sort of dying out which is okay. In all, the PSP has better graphics even if this generations graphics are going away because the Nintendo DS can't even handle this generations graphics with it's low pixel count. The PSP can emulate the Nintendo 64 which is sad on Nintendo's fault. So, what people are saying is that the PSP can handle the Nintendo DS's graphics easily and even it's own. The PSP is now proven better even if they say it has bad games; when they say that, they don't realise, the PSP can emulate almost all games created on the Nintendo 64 and back. The PSP has a wide selection of quality games, not just oh, this is fun, oh well it's over type of games. The PSP is quality and a great system for this generation and probably even past this new generation coming up. The PSP can also update which can keep making it better. In all, the PSP has way better capabilities and graphics and you can even say games than the Nintendo DS.

Remember, this isn't on other qualities so don't try to change the subject. I was just reading a review and wanted to express my opinion. I am looking for comments, not flames. Please don't flame like how it says "keep discussions peaceful" Oh and this has not been edited. I just wanted to get this out of my mind.

I already knew the PSP kicked the DS' ass, but thanks for the info anyway.

Well I can't believe there's going to be another debate about this. I can agree that PSP does have better graphics than DS, because the game with the best graphics would probably be around N64 graphics. Besides those games, the DS usually has games with GBA graphics but with a touch screen. PSP doesn't have that much great games but it has plenty of cool features and it has good graphics. I would say PSP barely beats the DS because it has more features.

And The Redundancy Award Of Redundancy goes to...

The graphics on both are better than the early PS1 games, which is good enough for me. At least both have better games than the GBA right now, which is now limited to spinoff games based off crappy kid's shows.

Wow the PSP can illegally emulate N64 and back games. The PSP may have brilliant graphics but it's games are subpar at best. The DS has free online, great games and innovation. You biased Sony fanboys can say whatever you want about the DS but in sales the DS is winning by a landslide.

By the way the DS can emulate games as well (at least SNES and back I haven't seen any N64 games emulated on it yet but I'm sure it could work as well.

That's quite a feat actually, have you seen any other handheld gaming device do that before?

The PSP may have brilliant graphics but it's games are subpar at best.
"I like Mario, so Mario games are the best ever created" is not a valid argument.
The DS has free online
The PSP and DS use the same mechanism to go online it's free for both.
great games and innovation.
Opinion
You biased Sony fanboys
You can't really call someone biased when you can't even get your own facts straight.
but in sales the DS is winning by a landslide.
It could be winning in sales, but does that mean it's a better console?

I'm not biased to any company, and I still honestly feel that the PSP is better. The idea of having two screens, and a touch screen, has always seemed dumb and unnecessary to me. Also, I've played games on both; I just don't enjoy the DS at all, while most every game I've played on the PSP I've found entertaining.

the gamecube doesn't suck! It's got some of the greatest games of all time on it! e.g: mario kart double dash, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (In the top 5 'best games of all time'), and now you can get Twilight Princess on it!

And how long do people reckon it is until microsoft bring out a handheld games console? Think how much it will cost!

Think how much it will cost!First off, if microsoft "brings out" a hand held console, it will kick the living shit out of Nintendo's response. Secondly, you're going to have to come up with a better stance than " OMGOSH! It has good games!!!!" Listen, I can say that I hate all those games, all it is is an opinion.

Please play consoles other than the Gamecube or anything Nintendo related before you say something like, "OMFG I THINK NINTENDO PWNS MICROSOFT AND NINTENDO DOESN'T SUCK!!!" Then maybe some people here will actually listen to what you said.

OoT was on the 64, Sunshine and Mansion sucked hard and TP was on the Wii first.
Sunshine was a smaller version of Mario 64, with a more pointless final boss battle and a super soaker. The graphics sucked and so did the gameplay.

Luigi's Mansion was just Luigi with a vaccum cleaner, and it didn't have any voice acting at all, when Starfox Adventures and other games were capable of having all most entire games with speech not just ugly noises and the occasional whimper of "Mario"

The only good games you have listed are ports (OoT and TP) and a game which was brilliant and the best fighting game around but still had many flaws (such as Pichu and Dr mario)

I was Nintendo fanboy once but then I realised they ONLY cater for Japan, they want to screw over the people from outside japan hence why they sold rareware who actually catered for an audience Nintendo refused to.
