Yeah i'm gonna model 6 of these guys for a cartoon which will probably take a year to finish (give or take a month or two), so what do you think of my first little character. He's not completely tweeked yet but he's basically fine apart little errors.

Yeah but i don't want a realistic character i want a cartoon like character so it has a 2d approach to the animation, i could easily do some spline head modelling which makes the character appear realistic but truth to be told i designed these characters 4yrs ago before i had any animation skills so i'm just going back to my roots.

I have no words to describe that character.

How come all your posts are negative Napalm your not exactly an advanced user yourself, and yeah i think he is annoyed cause he gave him the finger. But yeah i added some recent pictures to the top of this thread and i'm hoping to make a full 3d animated episode before christmas. But yeah maybe i would answer your posts more often Napalm if they weren't always negative.

BTW : thats not gonna be all the characters for the episode i'm hoping on having 4 main characters maybe 5 if i have time.

A criticism, fix the lighting. and why are they pink?

No offence but the trees look like crap, they look like random branches surrounded by a green mist. Make the leaves look more "leaf-like".

Thanks for you concerns i'm just back from Belfast at the weekend and this is the first chance i've had to post, @ Napalm, Well i'm going to be working on the lighting but theres no point in working on the lighting until the textures and colours are correct and if you tell me why the Simpsons are yellow and Fry an leela are Baige then i'll tell you why there pink, I can't do everything at once the work you see at the top took me a week too accomplish if you give me more time you'll start to see the enviroment change cause i can't work on everything at the same time.

And the leafs do look more leaf like you just don't see them how they should be cause it's a picture but if you seen a video of the trees you would find the leaves animate and move with the wind, Alot like the fire works in my game (shadow of a man) i used the same technique for the trees so you need to see a video before you could really judge on the quality + the textures weren't even added to the tree then (the textures are now).

p.s You probably didn't even notice the grass at the sides of the steel fence, The reason you don't notice the grass is cause you need to see it in video and not through a picture but the grass and leafs become visible through video.

if you get the lighting right, you wont have to worry about the textures, as the twilight of the night will slow very little detail, as most of everything will be almost black

I'm going to be leaving that till the end cause lighting makes it harder for rendering on huge scenes like the ones i'm doing cause i don't want to be forgetting stuff and have to back track (like turning effects on and off) time and time again which can be annoying, cause hopefully when it's nearly finished i might be getting double graphics which will help render the scene the way i want it.

BTW : when it's done it's going to be mostly daylight not night, I just haven't got perfect daylight textures yet.

So when you guys were saying put different trees in the scene were you meaning something like that, I'm gonna be updating the scenes that tree i made does work nicley if you see it animate with the leaves blowing.
