View Full Version : wii want an update!
so, who else here waited up till 1am to hear the wii release info? .. what? .. only me? :(
oh.. right.. regular people do that thing called "sleep."
anyways, among the launch date and release price, nintendo also released the wii launch lineup. no matter if you're a m$ or sony fanboy, you have to admit, this looks pretty sweet.

i started off thinking this was super cool, but then i realized that half the world will be wearing there in a couple years time.. yeah.. maybe just a *bit* annoying. but hey, at least you won't lose your kids.

zian came back and released a second game, called "montgolfier." use your space bar to capture the letters of the word in the box.

Frank 09-14-2006, 12:06 PM Wow! Another update in less than a week. I think were breaking a record John.

yeah, it's great when updates aren't a chore.
... until the scripts inevitably break again :(
.... but until then! :D
Skeezoyd 09-14-2006, 01:32 PM Was that scuba game the new Steve Irwin Adventure? I'mma have to play that...
Willy_Wonka 09-14-2006, 03:08 PM cool stuff. The wii's controler looks too hard to use though. It must take some getting used to.
I think I'm the first person on Gprime to have submitted something that got on an update twice, thank you everyone for your support *sniff* I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD!
Ryu-Nacho 09-14-2006, 05:08 PM Most of the launch titles for Wii I wouldn't touch, even if I bought a Wii. Too many or them look like their just taking advantage of the mostion sensor, and then skipping the graphics or gameplay.
treefalse 09-14-2006, 10:23 PM Nintendo takes a small amount of space in the game disk and makes the most of it. Didn't anyone else notice how freakin small the gamecube disks are? And the Cube was built better than the Xbox, too... So... many... errors!!

And the gamecube disks are small bacause they dont HOLD anything. And plus the Gamecube memory cards were terrible.

ive also never had any problems with my xbox, but im left to wonder what you meant by "they dont hold anything" having played a decent amount of gamecube, and ALOT of xbox, i can say the gamecube controller is the only reason gamecube didnt dominate the market(besides the lack of decent titles) as for the memory cards, i never noticed any problems, but the graphics on the gamecube blew the xbox and ps2 completely away, gamecubes graphics are on-par with the 360, ...if they had only sold it with a playable controller....::dreams::
i heard the Wii is sold with a more normal controller as well as the "nunchuck" style controller

i agree with him the gamecube has far better graphics than any other console except of course 360 and ps3 but they are the newest things around.
anyway the discs hold more graphics that the larger discs of xbox and ps2 combined
and their memory cards are also great and they load lots quicker than the ps2 and xbox
you can kill me for this but i like their controllers too
Nicolas.NET 09-21-2006, 11:22 AM Nice arrangement for that wii video, I recognised Final Fantasy Tactics (I think) in the middle and a very grown-up and souped-up Link from Legend of Zelda near the end. Also Big Bass Fishing (popular Sega arcade game) and not forgetting the favourite "it's a me, Mario".
This is augmented reality for the masses! But it would need a larger space for players to swing the controllers around, especially for virtual tennis.
I am guessing the games with the cheap graphics would be bundled with the wii.
Montgolfier was really challenging, and with not much legible instructions, it took a lot of trial and error until I got it right.
