that looks pretty fun. I wouldn't like the running part though. and doing those flips seem scary to me, because I always over rotate

I'm not physically fit enough to do that kind of stuff. But if I could, I would. It's awesome.

I could probably do all those jumps. doesn't look to far/high, from my perspective. Not to brag, but I'm probably one of the best jumpers at my school.

jumping like in track and field?

parkour isn't all about big jumps and flashy moves but more of the flow. That is the main philosophy of parkour. It is every traceur's (a person who does parkour) goal to ahieve the flow. To make everything fluid and graceful not jerky or uncordinated.

yeah i've heard that debate but also part of parkour is to add visual flair to the run so in that cateragory flips do count. But hey parkour is still fun even if flips aren't part of it.

I stumbled upon a parkour website late last year, and I've been hooked ever since. David Belle is my hero.

My friends and I are currently putting together a compilation of our best stuff, and it should be out later this year.

I would encourage everyone to try this. It's a lot of fun, and it's a great way to stay in shape. Have at it.

I started free running 2-3 months ago. The more I do it, the more I want to be doing it, the more I think about it. I find myself walking up railings instead of the stairs, finding any way to interact with the city scape that isint conventional.

A good place to start is trail running. Head to a National Park, or wooded area and just start running. The whole idea is to flow. To move through the space without thinking or anticipating where your foot is going to land next, just trusting your gut, intuitive instinct, and going.

I highly recommend working out in a Gymnastics Gym if you can find a drop in place that has a trainer on site, who can help you with spacial awareness excercises, balance(crucuial in my honest opinion), and bstrength training using your own weight and so on.

. I could honestly go on forever about this stuff
