Which one do you reckon is better? In my opinion, Flash is better for animating and tweening and the like, but Imageready is WAY easier to use and can produce some nice results.

MrNaPaLm32 08-29-2006, 09:16 PM Well, I wouldnt really consider choosing either considering they're made for completely different purposes. Zetex 08-29-2006, 09:25 PM That is what I was thinking Axel 08-30-2006, 01:50 AM Animation purposes. MrNaPaLm32 08-30-2006, 01:57 AM Animation purposes. Can you make interactive surveys, menus, integrated video controllers with image ready? Do GIF and JPEG files have their own programming language? Axel 08-30-2006, 02:14 AM I meant like avatars and the like, geez no need to get all "technical" on me. MrNaPaLm32 09-01-2006, 12:41 PM a better comparison would be between fireworks and imageready. Axel 09-01-2006, 07:17 PM I thought it would've been fireworks and photoshop. MrNaPaLm32 09-01-2006, 10:10 PM I thought it would've been fireworks and photoshop.Fireworks doesnt come close to photoshop, Photoshop at the moment has a near complete monopoly on the advanced image editing market. Fireworks is much more similar to imageready than anything, Adobe actually considered replacing imageready with fireworks, or scrapping fireworks, because they perform nearly the same task. Axel 09-02-2006, 09:00 AM Hmm true, Photoshop is like the god of all image editing software. Frookie 09-04-2006, 04:37 AM that's why it costs 768 bucks or so for the Mac version (from the Apple store near where I live) it's about 620 for the PC version from most of the tech supply stores like Best Buy Flash: easier for scripting, moving images on the screen itself ImageReady: easier for animated avatars, my little mIRC thing was made with it, took about 1 minute to make Axel 09-04-2006, 05:09 AM It costs $1500 in Australia... Frookie 09-04-2006, 10:15 AM damn, that sucks a whole lotta *beep* |
