ok im back in highschool...and my chemistry teacher drops a take home test on the second day and im F***ed can anyone help me?

"Suppose that a new temperature scale has been devised on which the melting point of ethanol (-117.3*C) and the boiling point of ethanol (78.3*C) are taken as 0*S and 100*S respectively, where S is the symbol for the new temperature scale. Derive an equation relating a reading on this scale to a reading on the celcius scale."

1. get a ti-83
2. go to stat: edit: put -117.3 and 78.3 in the same column
3. put 0 and 100 in the next column
4. go to stat: calc: find the regression that you're looking for and do this:

a. select regression
b. hit 2nd, stat, that takes you to names
c. select L1
d. put comma
e. repeat b
f. select L2
g. hit vars, go to y-vars, hit function
h. select Y1
i. look at graph and see if it's what you want

Yeah, well in Australia we only have normal ones, scientifics and graphics.
