Don't waste your cash on an X1800XT Crossfire system seeing as you have an Nvidia motherboard and there's no guarantee it'll work. Instead you should ebay your current X1800XT and get an X1900XTX or X1950XTX when they come out. The X1950XTX will literally perform as well or even better than the X1800XT Crossfire in most cases.
paranoia 08-16-2006, 03:53 PM PSU, sound and graphics cards. RAM is not a big deal for gaming. Or you could get a lot of coffee, a la Futurama.

Yes it's true that 1GB is enough for most games, but 2GB has become the new standard for high end PC gaming. Some titles such as Battlefield2, Oblivion, and F.E.A.R. see more of an advantage with 2GB vs. 1GB of RAM. As to your hard drive speed being important for gaming, that's not even remotely true.
