I am using Flash 6.0 r25. When I orignially installed it, I could open and save doucuments. Later, it could not open or save any douments at all, no matter new or old. However, when I used Microsoft AppLocale and set the language to chinese(simplified), it could open and save documents. But when I set the language to english or if i do not use AppLocale, documents cannot be saved (Failed to save document) or opened(Failed to open document). Please help.

if you mean the extension, you should just upgrade to Flash 9If you mean plugin, not extension, that would be correct.

yes, it does. He thinks you're stupid because he knows you can get it for free.

If you've already tried re-installing it. I would run a check on your Active-X/COM entries using something like registry mechanic. Thats the most likely solution I can think of.

Why would somebody buy or download a free pirate version of Flash 8 or 2004 from the web (that just angers me).

By you saying flash 9 are you talking about the application or the player, Flash 9 technically aint out yet it's still under the microscope i'm trying out the beta version right now and i have to say it's like learning C++ programming which aint fun, but i have been told it pays off learning it so thats why i'm trying it but it's a whole different ball game.

BTW : Flash 6.0 r25 is flash 6, Flash mx is flash player 7, flash 2004 is the same, flash 8 is flash player 8 and so on.

How do I do that?
=====
When I said can anyone please help me. I meant that can anyone help me with the problem I have with my flash currently, I did not mean to ask for help on buying flash 8.

try and get your hands on a registry repairer like registry mechanic. Something that says it will repair ActiveX/COM entries in the registry.

Just reinstall the friggin thing and go back to your default settings and save time by not playing 20 questions.
