Umm, I don't know about you, but I don't know many people who even know what capsaicin is, let alone that it's a toxin. This from someone who knows what carragheenan is (though admittedly I may have misspelled it, not having a can of coke handy)

Now I've never put this to the test, but i've often been told that when a food is too hot (spicy) and burns your mouth and throat, and upsets your stomach, you should eat plain bread. They say it absorbs the chemicals that are making your mouth burn, and absorbs some of what you've swallowed too.

Though to be honest, given the quantity of tabasco dude wolfed, I dunno if it would have helped much.

Also, I too am surprised he didn't vomit blood, later, if not immediately. I would think that amount of tabasco would have done some serious damage to his stomach lining, intestines, bowels, etc. But then, I'm not a doctor.

Water makes the burn worse. You should eat bread or dairy products. (isn't ice cream good for that?)
