Based a bit off the thread in General Ramblings.

On one hand I don't want my children seeing or hearing things at a young age that they shouldn't be. But on the other I don't want censorship to hinder people artistically. Violence is probably the only thing that doesn't necessarily need extreme censorship.
What do you think?

Well, we should censor things that smaller children should not watch. However, when they get to a certain age where they have to see those things then they should probably take out the censorship. Also I'd probably not support the censorship of things we need to know that are being censored from us. I kind of support a more partial censorship here.

I hate censorship, but I hate the idea of pornography and things being so easily available. How do you draw the line between art and just plain innapropriate? Thats why ensorship is such a big issue. But mainly, I think they shpuld just put better ratings on things, and that parents should do a better job not letting their children see things they don't want them too. Why should "foul language" be censored on a show that is intended for mature viewers? The same for nudity and violence, if it wasn't intended for certain viewers, it wasn't intened for them and its the guardians responsibility from there on out. Why should the government have to step in at all?

Censorship is for the people who are not mature enough to handle what is going on in our natural life. And for that we should have censorship until we are mentally capable of handling what is that is getting censored.

Yeah, I agree with that but not full censorship.

But that's the thing, age does not mean that you are able to handle things. It is your mind that controls what you are and what you can see as right and wrong. So having an age limit can not formally help us in the aid of censorship when really we all should learn to grow up and deal with what is going on.
