The war on censorship is to protect our rights to view at our own pleasure the things we want to view. It will hopefully spread wide enough so that our world will be a more free and open place. If we don't fight back now, tomorrow may be too late. Please help fight!

Wouldn't a much better way to do that be to spraypaint Botticelli's Birth of Venus with her boobs covered in CENSORED blocks or something like that? Or even something simpler like"F*CK CENSORSHIP" at least choose something that has some meaning.

Well, I mean, it's not like Hitler's Swastika meant anything, it's just a reversed good luck symbol. Symbols are the basis to major movements.
And also, making a stencil of Botticelli's Birth of Venus would be just slightly difficult.

Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that a symbol can unite a group of people to form a coalition stronger than a few "Complaint" letters to the FCC.
You see, it's not like I think that just because someone sees this stencil they'll immediately react, but when the movement becomes large enough, people will start to remember that symbol. Hey, don't look at me, I got this offa another forum while searching for the book Farenheit 451.

Yes, I see what you mean. But it's also true that painting pictures of bombs everywhere won't really help. So it spreads, and we have pictures of bombs everywhere. Who will know what it means anyway? It will just look bad. If nobody knows what it means it won't help your cause at all. Plus, who wants bombs painted all over everything anyway? :closedeye

You people are missing the point. You see, it's not like we would only have these small stencils everywhere, but underneath and around them the words like Diet Poop said.

This is the stupidest thread I have ever seen. The whole point of this is to conquer a government facility right? This isn't getting past the gprime boards. Just get a bunch of people to post obscenities and obscene images or things otherwise censored, and lead a proteset. I hate to be Johnny Raincloud here, but this is not going anywhere but gprime.

Okay, you read one post. READ THE REST. It says right on my post, I only put this here to "Spice up" gprime, because it's simply sucked the last few months.

You should have re-thought the creation of this thread.

I just now read all of that. Wow? I agree that the bomb paintings wouldn't help. If you're really serious about this then you definetly should rethink your symbol to something more...significant. As for spicing up the forums, it hasn;t happened yet, it's not gonna happen from this.
