Brothers in arms: Hells highway (Actual gameplay)

I'm not a big fan of Tony Hawk games, but this movie shows the graphical capabilities of the PS3.

I don't think they'll let us down with the sequel to two amazing shooter games (Call of Duty 3)

And lastly....Final fantasy, this game seems to be taking FF in a COMPLETELY different direction.

I'm very curious about this alleged "Final Fantasy Versus XIII"
Edit: I just found out that it will have twice the performance as the GeForce 6800 Ultra.
Liquid_Snake 06-21-2006, 07:55 PM FF rocks man!!

Thanks for the laugh.
1) The Call of Duty video is obviously not actual gameplay. A G70 at 550MHz is nowhere near capable of that.
2) The Geforce 6800Ultra was released June of 2004 so comparing that to a system that's coming out in late 2006 isn't exactly fair.
3) Sony's current dev kits have crippled GPUs only pumping out 275 million polygons per second; the Xbox360 can do 500 million.
4) The PS3's GPU is Direct X9 based while the Xbox360's has features that are part of Direct X10, such as the Unified Shader Architecture.
5) The PS3 will be obsolete before it's release thanks to the Nvidia G80 which boats a lot more power than the G71 and with more, faster memory the PS3 won't be able to keep up.

Hellraiser 06-22-2006, 07:34 AM ps3 - 600$

watching your system suck whylst i play Oblivion - Priceless
Yes, the PS3 is expensive, it sucks, I'm getting the $500 version.
If it weren't for me loving sony games, I definatly go for the Xbox 360. And BTW, I have Oblivion for the PC, Ha!

If you're already going to get the $500 version, save an extra 100 and get the 600. You do want the ability to play HDCP content right? The $500 PS3 may not even have DVI or Component video out.

I'm still sort of deciding, but since I'm paying for the whole thing and it's not just like my parents will pay for it. I don't know, the only that really looked useful about the $600 version was the Wi-Fi and the memory card reader, but I'm not willing to pay $100 extra dollars for that.

The $500 system will not be able to play HDCP content and may not even have DVI out so no HD gaming for you.
Well, we don't have an HD-TV, but we might get one soon. I have 6 months to decide, so I'll see.

The FF graphics look sick as.
lookatmeeee 07-05-2006, 01:49 AM I think my parents should get a HD TV in time for when the PS3 is released.
Whatever you do, don't get an LCD cos they break so easily.
guess_who_i_am 07-05-2006, 02:24 AM FF will be on the Wii too
Really? I always thought it was a Playstation exclusive =/
No, it's going to be a crappy Crystal Chronicals game, not XIII.
So it's just a crappier, cheaper version of FF. Great.
