If this is you and your friends idea of interesting conversation I feel bad for you. Pink Floyd isn't close to emo... I guess you don't listen to much music. If they updated their music they would probably fall under any combination of Electronic/Indie/Alternative/Trip and of course Rock. A modern day equivalent of Pink Floyd would probably be 'The Flaming Lips' Snow 06-19-2006, 10:06 AM If this is you and your friends idea of interesting conversation I feel bad for you. A modern day equivalent of Pink Floyd would probably be 'The Flaming Lips' I never said me or any of my friends thought they were emo, because we don't, we're saying that everyone would try to classify them as emo just because they have somewhat "depressing" lyrics. You're jumping to conclusions. terrelbot 06-19-2006, 11:06 AM I never said me or any of my friends thought they were emo, because we don't, we're saying that everyone would try to classify them as emo just because they have somewhat "depressing" lyrics. You're jumping to conclusions. No sir, you are jumping to conclusions. I never claimed you thought they were emo. I simply said you have boring conversations with friends if this was your idea of "interesting" then I gave you what I thought what genre they would fit in best. Any band today pretty much is considered emo by someone. It's inevitable at this point. |
