What do you think of iPods?
Personally, I think they are like any other MP3 player.

I have one, and i think it's pretty good. They go a bit overboard with the memory space (eg, 30gb and 60gb) but they're different to others as they have iTunes and it has games on it too :D. The only bad thing about iTunes is that you have to pay.

no, the shuffle's are the stupidest ones ever: no display, it's a usb that's made for only playing music, the trick is that you want to download the songs onto it in the order you want to listen to them because you don't have to listen to them in the shuffled mode

Yeah, experts said that you should only listen to them an hour a day, they can damage their ears, considering their powerful decibel system.

Frookie
06-15-2006, 09:13 AM
of course the newer ones have a max that doesn't do damage when you listen to it for a normal amount of time

the iFlea one was sweet, one song in this flea player that's like a tic-tac and has a tic-tac like container for all of your fleas and the flea collar and the flea backpack and all of the accessories were so much larger than the player itself

An iPod is just like any other mp3 player. Since it's popular, people like heyyou27 hate it because it's trendy, or you can buy a similar product for half the price.

Half the price is pretty drastic. Its pretty competitively prices for its features and its storage.

The 4GB ipod nano's suggested retail price is still $249.99. Do you recall the price at it's release? $249.99

if you saved up 50 more bucks and lived in Delaware you could've gotten 26 more gigs and video capability

Usually if you want to hear someone just have one ear listening to the I-pod and the other ear well, listening to what's around you.

The 4gb Ipod nano is the only one that is overpriced. Almost all 30gb MP3 players are 299.99 just like the iPod. Same goes for all 20gig's being 249.99.

I personally bought a Archos back when the iPod first launched. It is a nice player but it does have its own faults. First off its no where as portable as the iPod and the UI is slow and hard to manage. Also after a while the battery starts to dysfunction and if you keep it on charge to long the battery will heat up and melt the LCD screen.

I have around 60 gigs of mp3's on my hard drive. I like to listen to a broad range of music, so I purchased a high capacity mp3 player (30 gigs) filled it to the brim and now I use that while driving instead of taking the time to burn cd's and having to switch them out. I can drive around and instantly have access to half of my library of music.

I think you are right they do go over board on the memory, but I think only the 60GB version. Because to be able to hold videos it needs to have a big memory. That is why I bought the 30GB version

I like having that feature with my iPod. Connecting it to the car saves time, money, and it is just like having every song you want (almost) on 1 thing instead of having tons of CD's.

I honestly hate it when all mp3 players are called iPods by the limp-brained, illiterate masses. I personally have a year-old 60GB Creative Zen Xtra. It's got quite a few scrapes and abrasions from dropping it on the road/sidewalk so many times, and it's huge, but I don't care. It was cheaper than a 40GB iPod, and had everything I needed.

It's almost full.
