View Full Version : Capitalism or Communism?

Which one do you think is better? I think that communism kicks a55 in theory, as everyone gets a fair share. But that just means people dont have to work hard to get their pay, and some of them could become corrupt. This is why capitalism is better in practice, because it forces everyone to actually work.

(Pure) Communism is by far the better set up for a government, but its a theory and only that. It can never exist as a real government.

I would first think to say Capitalism, but when you think about it, there's not a single true Communistic country in the world. When Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto, he had good intentions, only to be corrupted by people by Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. In theory, Communism. In practice, Capitalism.
(Also, it seems like a lot of Communistic countries have a "Reighn of Terror" going on, so that may be making Communism much worse)

ageed.

capatilism is where everyone is given a standard of living dependant on the persons abilities.
communism is where everyone is given the same standard of living.
socialism is where everyone is given the opportunity to have the average standard of living.

now you can see which is better hyperthetically, and realistically, however, you have to look at all the variables when debating this subject.

Stalin did not "invent" communism, Karl Marx made the idea in the first place. Stalin was just using his ideas, except of course it wasn't really communism. You could most likely say his communism was only in name not action. The type of government Stalin ran was called "Totalitarianism".

And you wonder why no one takes your opinion seriously.

Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto was written in 1847, long before Stalin was "inventing" communism as you put it.

If I work very hard and you work very little, who do you think gets more pay? Communism says neither. And if you invent something new, you have to give it to everyone. Take Twister for example, the inventor was Russian and the law said that everyone must have it.

capitalism depends on work making life hard but goodyou need to read the Marx Pamphlet before you say stuff like that. Your idea is thuroughy covered in it.

under communism you WORK for the "good of the whole". In school you would be taught to be "good communists". The same idea applies to why children become religious.
