View Full Version : Capitalism or Communism?
Which one do you think is better? I think that communism kicks a55 in theory, as everyone gets a fair share. But that just means people dont have to work hard to get their pay, and some of them could become corrupt. This is why capitalism is better in practice, because it forces everyone to actually work.
Alex de Large 06-06-2006, 02:17 AM capitalism is better in practice
There ya go.
terrelbot 06-06-2006, 08:47 AM (Pure) Communism is by far the better set up for a government, but its a theory and only that. It can never exist as a real government.
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 10:10 AM I would first think to say Capitalism, but when you think about it, there's not a single true Communistic country in the world. When Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto, he had good intentions, only to be corrupted by people by Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. In theory, Communism. In practice, Capitalism.
(Also, it seems like a lot of Communistic countries have a "Reighn of Terror" going on, so that may be making Communism much worse)

socialism
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 04:18 PM socialism
Socialism is a mix of both, but-Sorry, my dog just got out of the house, now we have to go look for her.
The Perfect Seven 06-06-2006, 04:19 PM Communism will never work because humans are corrupt. Theres no changing that
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 04:25 PM Communism will never work because humans are corrupt. Theres no changing that
Yes, but IN THEORY, Communism is next to perfect.
Frookie 06-06-2006, 04:31 PM we can prove that theory though
well, if you look at the soviet union, cuba, china, vietnam, north korea, laos--well you get the picture.
MrNaPaLm32 06-06-2006, 04:37 PM Socialism is a mix of bothkur-no
MrNaPaLm32 06-06-2006, 04:39 PM I would first think to say Capitalism, but when you think about it, there's not a single true Communistic country in the world. When Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto, he had good intentions, only to be corrupted by people by Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. In theory, Communism. In practice, Capitalism.
(Also, it seems like a lot of Communistic countries have a "Reighn of Terror" going on, so that may be making Communism much worse)he actually was pissed off at the capitalists. Karl Marx was a man living in poverty at the time. he was a capitalist "victim" as he so called it.
kur-no
ageed.
capatilism is where everyone is given a standard of living dependant on the persons abilities.
communism is where everyone is given the same standard of living.
socialism is where everyone is given the opportunity to have the average standard of living.
now you can see which is better hyperthetically, and realistically, however, you have to look at all the variables when debating this subject.
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 06:43 PM he actually was pissed off at the capitalists. Karl Marx was a man living in poverty at the time. he was a capitalist "victim" as he so called it.
I'm not retarded, I took world history too, buddy. Now get the hell off my case about this matter, because we know exactly the same about it.
MrNaPaLm32 06-06-2006, 06:49 PM I'm not retarded, I took world history too, buddy. Now get the hell off my case about this matter, because we know exactly the same about it.then why did you say he had "good" intentions?
I dont take world history either
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 07:28 PM then why did you say he had "good" intentions?
I dont take world history either
Define "Good".
Wait, what did you take then?
oh, oh....he's a special boy and took "World cultures"
IT'S NO DIFFERENT!
MrNaPaLm32 06-06-2006, 08:53 PM Yeah, it is. Maybe thats why they dont call it world history. hmmmmm...
paranoia 06-06-2006, 08:56 PM Which one do you think is better? I think that communism kicks a55 in theory, as everyone gets a fair share. Excatly.I can be lazy.Communism wins.
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 09:00 PM Yeah, it is. Maybe thats why they dont call it world history. hmmmmm...
They don't call it world history because it's a combination of English and World History. Same thing, different name.
MrNaPaLm32 06-06-2006, 09:34 PM then why is it considered an honors level course?
rehabisforquitters 06-06-2006, 10:32 PM Because you're combining the two into one class.
(Hang on, you're not taking AP English next year, are you?)
Drunken_Shinobi 06-07-2006, 12:17 AM Capitalism, because the people with Communism aren't doing it the way Karl Marx wanted it.
rehabisforquitters 06-07-2006, 03:41 PM or Stalin.
Stalin was one of the people who perverted Communism, making it run the way it does today.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-07-2006, 09:37 PM or Stalin.
Stalin's style of Communism is evil.
Stalin invented communism back in 1917.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-08-2006, 06:48 PM Stalin invented communism back in 1917.
Stalin did not "invent" communism, Karl Marx made the idea in the first place. Stalin was just using his ideas, except of course it wasn't really communism. You could most likely say his communism was only in name not action. The type of government Stalin ran was called "Totalitarianism".
so it was Karl Marx's idea? When was this?
so it was Karl Marx's idea? When was this?
And you wonder why no one takes your opinion seriously.
Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto was written in 1847, long before Stalin was "inventing" communism as you put it.
well, I'm sorry I'm not a 34 year old historian on 19th century Russian history.
terrelbot 06-09-2006, 02:56 PM well, I'm sorry I'm not a 34 year old historian on 19th century Russian history.
Actually he wrote the book in France.
And he was born in Germany.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-09-2006, 06:40 PM well, I'm sorry I'm not a 34 year old historian on 19th century Russian history.
We learn this stuff in High School, there's really nothing much to it. You learn about him during the Philosophy Age section or something.
rehabisforquitters 06-09-2006, 09:32 PM well, I'm sorry I'm not a 34 year old historian on 19th century Russian history.
Uhh...you don't have to be either of those. Honestly, you learn this crap in the first week of the Russian Revolution. You must not pay attention in school.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-09-2006, 10:32 PM Uhh...you don't have to be either of those. Honestly, you learn this crap in the first week of the Russian Revolution. You must not pay attention in school.
Yep, and not only that but people who believed in the whole communism thing were called "Marxist".
terrelbot 06-09-2006, 10:54 PM Yep, and not only that but people who believed in the whole communism thing were called "Marxist".
Actually followers of (Marxism) Communism were called Marxist
Drunken_Shinobi 06-09-2006, 10:55 PM Well if you're a follower, then doesn't it mean you believe in the system?
MrNaPaLm32 06-10-2006, 01:55 AM not necissarily. Just look at the germans during the rise of hiter.
don't any of you know I don't live in the US? That means my school system is DIFFERENT to yours so I learn different things. You people can be really dumb sometimes.
terrelbot 06-10-2006, 08:08 AM don't any of you know I don't live in the US? That means my school system is DIFFERENT to yours so I learn different things. You people can be really dumb sometimes.
Europe is pretty glad they were the ones who came up with the perfect government. Its a staple in every European child's education. You'll get to it in a few years, trust me.
Frookie 06-10-2006, 08:52 AM we had it at my school already, kind of, but now we get some principal from a sh!tty school when our school was doing fine, that's how it is now
MrNaPaLm32 06-10-2006, 10:39 AM don't any of you know I don't live in the US? That means my school system is DIFFERENT to yours so I learn different things. You people can be really dumb sometimes.Actually you should've learned about this.
Atomic1fire 06-10-2006, 12:08 PM communism lets people lazy makeing life easy but crap
capitalism depends on work making life hard but good
Drunken_Shinobi 06-10-2006, 01:17 PM Actually you should've learned about this.
He probably hasn't take world history yet.
communism lets people lazy makeing life easy but crap
capitalism depends on work making life hard but good
that's one thing why I hate communism.
If I work very hard and you work very little, who do you think gets more pay? Communism says neither. And if you invent something new, you have to give it to everyone. Take Twister for example, the inventor was Russian and the law said that everyone must have it.
MrNaPaLm32 06-10-2006, 01:39 PM communism lets people lazy makeing life easy but crap
capitalism depends on work making life hard but goodyou need to read the Marx Pamphlet before you say stuff like that. Your idea is thuroughy covered in it.
under communism you WORK for the "good of the whole". In school you would be taught to be "good communists". The same idea applies to why children become religious.
MrNaPaLm32 06-10-2006, 01:39 PM that's one thing why I hate communism.

I know that. Everyone in Chona works for the good of China. That's why it's sometimes called "The Peoples Republic of China"
MrNaPaLm32 06-10-2006, 03:14 PM That's why it's sometimes called "The Peoples Republic of China"It's not "sometimes" called that.Thats the actual name. China is dirogitory(to them).
and if you are agreeing with me. Why did you post what you did?
Great to see my thread got somewhere. Oh and napalm, isn't it derogatory?
Drunken_Shinobi 06-11-2006, 01:50 AM I know that. Everyone in Chona works for the good of China. That's why it's sometimes called "The Peoples Republic of China"
Everyone in China doesn't have equal pay.
MrNaPaLm32 06-11-2006, 02:21 AM Great to see my thread got somewhere. Oh and napalm, isn't it derogatory?you know i cant spell :)
MrNaPaLm32 06-11-2006, 02:22 AM Everyone in China doesn't have equal pay.he didnt say that.
rehabisforquitters 06-11-2006, 04:22 AM MERGE YOUR DAMNED POSTS!! Jeezus that's getting annoying.
It's not "sometimes" called that.Thats the actual name. China is dirogitory(to them).
and if you are agreeing with me. Why did you post what you did?
I thought I'd get some moron saying
"It's not ALWAYS called that, it's only called that to some."
you know i cant spell :)
Oh right, the sig ;).
Drunken_Shinobi 06-11-2006, 08:07 PM he didnt say that.
I was saying that because if everyone doesn't have equal pay then I obviously don't see why they would actually work for the good of "China".
Well now China's slowly developing from communism to capitalism.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-12-2006, 12:50 AM Yeah I guess....
Soon they'll be ready for the Olympics. Oh and D_S you look like one of my cousins =.=.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-12-2006, 12:57 AM I may look like them, but they're probably shorter than me.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-12-2006, 06:44 PM How tall are you?
6'2 I think.
That's tall for an asian... that's as tall as my tall cousin.
MrNaPaLm32 06-13-2006, 01:55 PM That's tall for an asian... that's as tall as my tall cousin. There are a lot of anomalies in the asian race. The majority of asians are around 5'6". but then you have people like Yao Ming. who is like 7' 6".
quite a few are 5'10+ but which nation has the tallest people? US?
MrNaPaLm32 06-13-2006, 03:44 PM quite a few are 5'10+ but which nation has the tallest people? US?do you mean average? It's the Dutch then. Netherlands.
I think he's going by the tallest guy who ever lived, who came from the US.
Robert something was 9ft tall! Or 8ft11.1 to be exact.
Bosman310 06-15-2006, 12:12 AM Sombody paid attention is history.
Drunken_Shinobi 06-15-2006, 12:52 AM Robert something was 9ft tall! Or 8ft11.1 to be exact.
Yeah, it can't be possible for me to be taller than him. Besides that there are plenty of white people who are taller than me.
Bosman310 06-15-2006, 02:05 AM im sure there are
Drunken_Shinobi 06-15-2006, 05:44 PM There's also the fact that the tallest guy in history was not Asian.
The Perfect Seven 06-16-2006, 01:55 PM The tallest person in the world would probably live in Africa
yeah, communism is brilliant. (http://www.parida.com/cs.htm)
Drunken_Shinobi 06-16-2006, 10:01 PM That's why I chose Capitalism over it.
