I can play on 1280x1024 with 4XSSAA and 16XAF with softshadows enabled, probably faster than you can play on 2x. :D

EDIT: Wow, my gamefiles have been corrupted with the new patch. If I try to load an existing file, the game crashes. Thanks a lot Monolith for your excellent support.

Looks neat, but I haven't heard of it being anything really special.its way cool. Not a lot of innovative design, but the Slo-mo is way fun. you can dance around and blow your enemies heads off in SLO-MO.

I never liked the game i played it with all settings to full on my High def screen thinking it was great with the first couple of levels but then it quickly came to my attention that it was the same all the way through the game (and yes i did play to the end), they never tried anything new or exciting or try to reinvent anything or come at you with some new fresh storys it's just a copy of it's Predecessors.

And what game does F.E.A.R. copy? Also, you're running an X800 XT so your "settings to full" does not look the same as MrNaPaLm's or my own. F.E.A.R. supports Shader Model 3.0 and having a Shader Model 2.0 card, the game used the older shaders.

Hmmm The Grudge sticks to mind for a start and so does Hl2 with a blend of cliche first person shooter battles, the end of the day these guys had a killer budget to work with and they didn't deliver maybe your one of those guys who goes to watch a movie for special effects ??? i tend to go to the movies for a story. And i hardly think having different shaders is going to make the story better.

Yeah ha ha :p you know what i meant, i meant the character (evil girl) is very similar and is a ghost like the movie and has a "grudge" on everybody and shows no compassion and sh|t and as for half life there trying to get attention the very same way HL done (with the cool graphics) but the difference is HL had a really original cool story which this game just doesn't, all they have done has spliced ideas of other people and made a game out of it. Well i'm off to play hitman blood money i hope it's good because there original game had a really good twist half way through the game instead of waiting till the end they gave you suspense while playing (now thats what i look for in games) but i'll let you know if it's any good l8ter gotta play this big time.

And as for graphic cards, i can't get a new graphics card every time a new one comes out (x800 will have to do) but i'm planning on getting myself something really friggin sweet at the end of this year. The Radeon® X1900 looks really nice but i'll wait till i hear some positive reviews untill then.

I agree with that; I only recommend upgrading if there is a game or application that you can not run at a level you enjoy.

By the way, the X1900 has had incredible reviews. If you were to buy a new videocard in the $400-500 USD price range today, the X1900 would be the card you'd want to buy.

Is F.E.A.R about killing undead things or what? Oh and my friend wants it, now that he has a good graphics card.

Well i like these types of games cause the hitman series always has a strong story line while playing with some unusual yet entertaining twists but it lives up to it's name and stays fresh, so on those grounds i would say it's worth getting.

I heard about this game. It's about the Hitman's agency getting killed by some mysterious guy. Apparently it's more open as there are different ways to perform the assassination.

Yeah man even the ending in the game is cool, when the credits come up on the game you think your dead but you aint really the game will end like it's suppose too with No (whatever) dead but if you keep clicking the mouse you come back alive and you get to get revenge on the guys who killed you so it kinda has a double ending if you play it right.

Doom 3 was more of a Oh **** that looks freaky and oh **** that thing came out of the pitch black. This is more of a psychological fear. You'll have cloaked enemies that run around like crazy.

Doom 3 was just pitch black and kind of scary, if you turn up the speakers and actually play without the cheats. But there was just like the crappy story line which makes it not as good as F.E.A.R.

I usually use 2xAA for F.E.A.R. though. My average was above 60FPS with 4xAA, but 2xAA keeps the action smooth always.

Personally i think the games terrible in my eyes, They had a huge budget and never delivered anything worth my time when you think about a game like GTA that literally got started on no budget ( just two geeks in there rooms) compared to this multi million budget "great" game, this games just an inuslt for people who have good ideas for the games industry but can't get in.

Right, you're playing Hitman and calling F.E.A.R. a bad game. Do you know how much money was spent on Half-Life2? Doom3? UT2004?

Actually i play lots of games, chances are if you mention a game i likely have it on my shelf. But the difference is Hitman brings something new and unexpected to the game but F,\E:A'R doesn't and having a budget like they had i think it should have been there duty to add something new "but the girl in the game is really original", No i'm sry that aint original, new or even interesting i seen the latest Hollywood movie called the Grudge and to be honest i preferred the Japanese version so why make a Rambo version of the Grudge movie cause thats all it is.

HL2 isn't that bad, especially since the fact it has many other mods with it and also how it's at least a much better and popular sequel than Halo 2. I'm pretty sure that HL2 was no disappointment like Halo 2. Yet, the story didn't have anything to do with the first Half-Life, plus they took out all the cool weapons from HL1.

Hitman is totally different. You have to kill witnesses to keep them from talking in Blood Money. The game mechanic make it so the more innocents see you without you killing them, They have a face to report and the next mission gets harder. Every killer must cover his/her tracks you know.

Yes, and getting reported as a hitman can really hurt.
