I'm bleaching my hair soon. It's been getting a lot darker (I did have blonde hair, now it's...darker) for quite a while now.

I've been dressing a lot more nicely lately. I used to wear all band shirts and stuff. Now lately I've been buying American Eagle and stuff. Like Ariel said, people are always changing. Who we are doesn't matter to anyone but ourselves, and the only reason it matters to us is because we think other people care, and we care what other people think.

Oh, emo. We all need to shut up about it and be satisfied that it means something different to all of us and we have all concieved our own notions. It doesn't mean anything, and the "style" only exists because the concept does, and the concept was born of the style. the emo is a deviation from the goth rebellion style of the '90s, except while the style is the same, the attitudes are different. The people with the emo fashion started making and listening to music that complied with the ideas of the fashion, while a certain style called "emotive" or for short, "emo" already existed, although it was not on the mainstream popular radios. Soon, people started calling the music of the emo style emo and it all became a big convoluted mistake and argument between the people that listened to emotive music and everyone else, who believed that emo consisted of the deviated alternative style of music that emo kids listened to.

And that's all it is. A big convoluted mistake. Between the mainstream and the people that are convinced that they have to prove everyone who has the same ideas as everyone else that they're wrong. The emo image is so stupid, but the people who feel misunderstood have always had a place in society.

Jet can be annoyingly repetitive at times and inconsistent at times, but no matter what they aren't a band for everyone. I like a few of their songs, but when I listen to the whole of their cd I just don't like it that much. It's wrong to say someone sucks for what they like and don't like, so it's always good to try and see the good and bad sides of most bands.

Just this past year there was an animal science class at my school where they were going to study taxidermy using any kind of animal that any one of the students brought in. PETA threatened seriously to come to our school and do a demonstration. People at my school were counter-threatening to kill innocent things and mail them in small pieces to PETA headquarters if they came.

If PETA wasn't an extremist society/organization thing, their intentions wouldn't be as atrocious or attackable. If they were just a society of vegans who stuck to their beliefs, I would be fine with them. But they go out and trash people for not thinking the same as they do, which is to the point of unforgiveable.

Anyways, I'm a vegetarian born and raised. People say to me "Hey look! I'm eating meat! Yum, animals!" and I say... "So?" I can't stand people who bitch at anyone who doesn't follow the same conventions as them, including vegetarians who preach to meat eaters, and vice versa.

And to Ryu, please don't generalize all vegetarians. Just as many meat eaters are guilty of whining at vegetarians as some of our nutcases are of whining at meat eaters.

When you're eating fruit, you're eating a tree's ovaries, which doesn't bother me, but it might bother people who have problems with eating the muscles of animals.

It's ironic, because the people who usually protest trees being cut down are usually the same people who are vegetarians. Anyone who eats fruit is inhibiting the growth of tree populations, as the point of seeds growing inside a protective yet tasty fruit is to enable dispersion via animals eating them and 'dropping' them somewhere else or via the weather. Thus, anytime a person eats a piece of fruit and throws away the seeds, that's another tree that was just disabled from growing.

Now if a person eats meat, that's different. We're keeping many populations from growing too large (although we could probably do that by not farming them and leaving the tasty animals for predators) by eating them. And besides, if we want to get into morals here, the whole point of an animal's existence is to be one day killed and turned into meat, in the same way a poor Indian kid's whole existence is to grow up and be nothing (umm...caste system. I'm not racist or whatever.). They are both born into what they will inexorabley become. The creature that is killed in order to feed us was born to grow up and feed us. If you think about it, said creature would not have been born at all if it had not been bred on a farm. The farmer is God, and all the animals on the farm are humans. We wouldn't exist without our parents, sure, but the whole population of humanity wouldn't exist without God.

I'm not trying to denounce any beliefs or degrade any opinions, I'm only trying to justify my own.

I get that all the time. Unlike you, though, I actually take the time to maintain my hair. I spend about 10 minutes washing it and another 5 or 10 brushing it and picking it out. That's a fuckton of time for a guy.
