i have an old computer which dies 20 seconds after loing in
but it doesn't do this in safe mode


so i was wondering how to wipe the disk clean in safe mode

"Loing" I know it's a typo but still can't understand what it could have meant, but if you ever have any problems head over to ask an expert and theres a few guys who will help you out oevr there but as for formatting your c drive just use a recovery disk and follow the step by step instructions. If you don't have a recovery disk cause you never knew it was important and chucked it tell me what operating system your using and i'll see if i can track it down.

my friend has a family computer with it, but i have never used it so i dont know how crappy it is

Well if you compare it to the operating systems we have today, you'd say that ME is quite crappy and I'm quite surprised people still use it.

If you have the install disk, insert it at post screen. The disk should be read and you can choose to reformat your "C" partition and reinstall Windows. I highly recommend backing up everything you need in safe mode; after reinstalling Windows, all of your problems should be gone.

well it in 16 colors & 640X480 res

You can change that in the propertie panel where you change yor desktop wallpaper or change it using Adobe gamma in your control panel.

Heres my propertie panel see if you can find anything similar, i've never used your operating system so i can't tell you where to look sry man.

We had crappy macs, which suck a lot.

you need to install drivers for your video card
hopefully you have the disk that came with it - otherwise you have to download some online
after you get those installed and reboot, it will allow you to choose better resolution and color :)

btw, i'm sorry that you have to use Windows ME

it don't show any graphic card drivers that need installing because there would be a ? next to it
