Whenever I try to burn a cd from my playlists in iTunes, it spits my cd back out and tells me that there is a 2122 unknown error occuring. This is seriously starting to piss me off. Can someone help?

Use nero or or something else to burn your cd's, i don't use Itunes cause i don't believe in using anything that trys to push there product onto you which Itunes seems to do alot (what they lack in quality they make up with quantity) Thats the phrase these guys go by.

You could also try doing it by just opening a writeable cd folder and just sliding all your songs you want into it and burning it
Or reinstall iTunes, it keeps all the playlist information

You don't need Itunes to listen to your downloaded music on an "ipod" (portable stereo), and as for having an ipod i don't care much for them i grew out of that whole portable stereo phase when i was 15.

I've tried using nero and a writeable CD folder, but neither can burn the songs I've downloaded from iTunes because the songs are coded in the M4p format (whatever the hell that is) I just want my CD's to be burned!!!

Well your either using the wrong cd's cause they come in many shapes and sizes cause i'm a dvd burner freak myself making chapters and menu screens till the early hours of the morning and some dvd disks don't work for me and some do, it depends all on your drive speed the disks have to be the same speed as your drive (try different blanks), or try downloading your songs in formats that will work on your personal stereos and not just your pc (mp3 etc).

CD FORMATS: CD-R CD-RW. Pretty sure you cant "use the wrong type of CD".

Your very quick to criticize and saying i'm not very smart is not really a nice comment to say to somebody you don't know, i wouldn't really go to Cd freaks dot com saying something like that cause they would prove you wrong kinda fast. As for drive speeds and disk speeds yes they are different in many ways 40x,48x,52x etc. Like i have a Aopen Dvd burner which i purchased for £70 which is a very good burner but i need to get certain disks to burn with my burner cause it's 64x and 48x usually works for me but anything under that usually doesn't work for me i would try going to this site http://www.cdfreaks.com/ and join there forums cause it's a great community and i'm sometimes there for help burning. But as for finding the right disks you just have to shop around or buy packs that has different speeds instead of just one so you know which speeds work for you thats what i done and now i never make that mistake.

BTW : Get Nero it's a brilliant little tool for diagnostics and when you get it test your drive speed there and get disks that matches your drive speed.

You said format. Not manufacturer. if you had gotten your terms right. I wouldn't have said that.

Yes i said format but if you look at my previous post i didn't say cd format i was clearly talking about compression formats i believe i said "try downloading your songs in formats that will work on your personal stereos and not just your pc (mp3 etc)." because wma, raw, dwd may work on your pc's but they may not work on personal stereos so i still stick by what i said.

I gotta go with Heyyou27's idea. What i would do, is burn a CD using nero, or something other than itunes. if it works. Itunes is your problem. If you want your songs out of itunes, there is a program that can burn CD's from it. I forget what its called though.

No, the problem is that I want to burn a cd from my purchased section of iTunes, and it can't because the files are in a retarded .M4p format. I don't know why.

Well convert them to mp3, have you got sound editing programme like adobe audition if not go here http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ and download audicity. I've never used this appliction myself but it's meant to be the best appliction to use for free, after you've downloaded and installed open up your sounds with it and save your "retarded" m4p's as .mp3 and you should be on the road to success.

so...you want to convert m4p files one by one? why not just rip them. There have to be programs out there. And im fairly certain using files from itunes doesnt work with audacity. Ive tried it before.

Tell you what you have me curious now Rehab upload one of these files to a server and send me a direct link to the file to download and i'll see what i can do with one of these tracks with my sound editing equipment and software, but your better off using soulseek it's the dogs bolllocks when downloading tracks trust me and clear your pm box cause it's full i tried to send you this message on the pm but couldn't because of that but when i convert it i'll tell you how i did it so you can do it yourself.

I've never tried to burn a cd using iTunes...but my friend Krystal did, to make a cd with 'Here Comes Peter Cottontail"...heh. It's because we are in Early Childhood Education, and we teach a preschool class. But anyway, she didn't have any problems with it...so I'll email her and see what she did. Sorry that this post is pretty much pointless. =[
