I made a platform game engine earlier but this ones better- I just draw shapes and the code does the rest for me. Ive only spent half an hour on it so its not exactly flashy or nice looking- ive just put a wiggly line for a character at the moment- play it and see what glitches there are at the moment

EDIT: Oh yeah and space is jump + arrows keys to walk

EDIT 2: liney's world looks a bit nicer now- theres trees, grass, stairs, cliff and desert

I personally like falling through that hill.

Is the world edge supposed to be the end of the game?

Ryu-Nacho's got a point. If you continue to walk right past the left arrow sign into the wall, you sorta fall through the ground. Probably not a difficult glitch to fix, I'm sure.

Other than that, great!

Hmmm... well I still haven't ever been able to walk through walls- maybe it varies depending what computer is using it?

I tried this game on my friends computer- and all the glitches from above became present. It seems the slower and crappier your computer is, the more glitchier the collision engine becomes. Can someone prove me otherwise?

I haven't noticed anything on my AMD Athlon X2 4800+ @2.62GHz.

But the game did not mess up on mine, meaning Ilikepandas could be correct.

Yes! Thanks for that. The slower computers must not be fast to enough to process the multiple collision dectections required each frame (for 24fps) for it to work properly. Looks like Ill have to start from scratch again for a better engine....

I don't know about rehab, but after the patch it worked fine on my computer, and on my school's junker computer (where it didn't work before). I'd say stick with the old one. Especially since the glitch might be possible to fix, possibly by turning down the detail level? You can advise this to people with slower computers.

Or you could trash it and start anew. Whatever works for you! :D
