dell is ****. Also notice if you read it its not NForce4 SLI its NFORCE 4 SLI X16. This isnt dell, its probably a new thing from NVIDIA being launchec in the spring. and why would you want more than even ONE 7800GTX? 2 for benchmarking i suppose, but 4? why? 1 can run all the games on max settings.

so 13 year old rich kids (whose parents will buy this) can use it to browse through the internet and brag about it on public forums

Incorrect. One 7800 GTX is not good enough to run a game like F.E.A.R. on Max. You'd be stuck at 2XAA assuming you're not planning on going any higher than 1280x960.

I have friends. Some of which have PCs like mine, and better. Oh also I know benchmarks. Plus my overclocked 7800 GTs score about the same as a stock 7800 GTX.

not all benchmarks are the same you know. ATI recently released a powerpoint presentation that showed that the X850Xt could beat the 7800GTX. Someone looked at the stats, and saw that the ATI team downclocked the GTX and super-overclocked the X850. Not all benchmarks are accurate.

Quit looking for loopholes. I'm referring to multiple benchmarks on 3D mark 05 and different games, such as F.E.A.R., Doom3, Half-Life2, Far Cry, and Battlefield2. The performance of each card depends on the game, and in most applications a Geforce 7800 GTX beats an X850 XT PE, however both Tomshardware and hardocp.com show that a single 7800 GTX would be unable to play F.E.A.R. on 1280x960 with 4X AA and 16X AF with an average framerate above 60fps.

I'm not trying to find loopholes. thats for the politicians alright alright, but really, you dont need any more than 32FPS considering that the human eye can only see that fast..

Now that's just overkill...I don't see a point in having such video cards now, I mean I've never seen the game with recommended graphics for a "512 MB VGA".

That has not really been proven, but it's better than saying 32FPS.

well movies are played in 24 FPS. so 32 seems fairly reasonable. the reason i changed my mind was that if you pausa a movie you can see the motion trails. which makes it less studdery. therefore allowing it to be played at 24FPS.

Well anyways, I agree that 4 7800 GTX 512s is a waste. Only time you'd want it if you had their new Dell monitor at 2560x1600.

If I were to play Counter Strike on my computer now, I would have about .0000000001 fps!!! W00t!

why buy from dell. I opened up an old 8200 and was amazed to find a 110W power supply in it. not exactly what I call "quality"

dell is just advertising that they will be the only one to have it. its a new technology from Nvidia. you could probably get that motherboard for like $300 when it comes out.
