I never liked the old days of music.........I don't particularly like the new days either. I'm picky with my music.

today's music does suck pretty hard but not all rap is bad, i.e. the old school stuff like, Public Enemy. Some new rap that keeps to the old school style(rapping about things other than bling-bling or sex) is good e.g. the roots, atmosphere, and faithless(techno-rap).

Outkast is the only rap I can actually listen to. People need to respect their roots, like Led Zepplin and The Beatles.

However, if you want to hear some awesome music, I suggest you listen to Dragonforce, Rhapsody, or Stratovarius. They're three neglected bands that make amazing music.

i think older music sounds good because you don't hear all of the crappy songs from that time period. you hear ALL of the songs today, even the horrible ones. Bad songs from back in the day are not played anymore

Guns n Roses,AC/DC,Metallica,Ozzy,Black Sabbath,Pink Floyd,Led Zepplin.....are some of my favourites of the olden rock days.....but i also like the newer stuff like rap........the new rock.....Techno......not too big on punk though.........i can listen to pretty much n e thing except country n classical

Techno and foreign stuff, it never gets old. I like almost all music but have a strong affinity for those two. Me love me some foreign bands, The Rasmus. I also get into the techno. Cant stand rap I just ugh, it doestn carry a message other than the idiotic "Iv got more bling bling than you" its so stupid -_-

Theres a new style of music out called crunk n B. Its people like Usher and Ciara. I like it. its a mix between rnb and hip hop rap stylez.so its not too hard core and sounds really nice.

It really isn't fair to insult all of today's music and put it into one category. For one thing you haven't even heard ALL of today's music so you can't say you hate it ALL. There is music in all different countries and different parts of the world that you have never heard and never WILL hear. And this whole thing with "pop"? Why is a song AUTOMATICALLY bad just because it's POPular. Considering that IS what "POP" stands for. Don't mistake bubblegum for pop. You also can't say a SONG is bad just because you don't like the person OR say a song is GOOD just because you DO like the person.

I do like Simple Plan and 48 May them i dont mind but i reckon punk rock and stuff just isnt me. I think its just the music we have grown up with we familiarise with therefore learn to like. Surrounding s and ppls personal opinions are also a big factor.

yeah! todays music sucks! theres too much rap and stuff, theres very little music of today that i like, i only like rock, and not just any rock, rock that had good words, good beat, lots of electric guitar and lots of drums. so thats only a few bands, like good charlotte, jet and....some others i cant think of, funny remakes of crap songs are cool too....CUZ THEY'RE FUNNY!
