Well, I just heard about it...

well, the name's apparently supposed to represent the degrees in a circle, so the degrees in a game disc are the same, or some weird thing like that, or even that they did a circle or loop from the X-Box to make it better

Darn... I only had enough money to buy an X-Box 180

i will put the thumbs down for the 360 as it is exactly the same as the first one with a better case on it and a removable hard drive.... the Playstation 3 has 3 times the compiutation power than it. apparently the PS3 has 1.8 Teraflops(wtf are those! sum1 please tell me) which means the 360 only has .6 of a teraflop. man im a nerd.

I'll be honest. None of the new consoles are an amazing piece of hardware. The PS3 is just like the PS2. Does anyone remember the emotion engine rumors? The rumors of the PS2 supporting Ray-tracing? Haha.
People use to say "Man the PS2 is gonna have graphics like Toy Story!!!"
I've seen "Screenshots" of Metal Gear Solid 4 or whatever they're calling it, and I was not at all impressed. I'll leave the high end graphics power to my better, but more expensive Desktop PCs.

All the hype around the new systems makes me laugh. Like we'll all of the sudden have games that would be mistaken for the real world? "but u dnt undrstand!!11 the ps3 is liek rly pwerfull and cn do rly good grafixs".

In actuality, the XBox 360 is a damn powerful piece of work. It's more powerful than 95% of PCs available today. The only problem is that none of the developers are willing to spend the cash to create a game that pushes the limits of the console's ability.

That's where the idiots down at bungie come in. They'll go create a Halo game full of so much razzle-dazzle that it patronizes all other games on the market, and lose millions of dollars in the process.

Even if that's the case then I'm in the top 5% with my Overclocked AMD Athlon X2 4800+. Another thing, I've seen where developers from Raven Software said they were having a hard time running Quake4 at 30FPS on the Xbox360.

So it has the same clockspeed or higher than an FX-55. I'm at 2.62GHz right now, but I could probably get to 2.8GHz although that will be the highest I can get with this chip.

No, not for 2.8GHz. I could do 2.8GHz on air, but there's no reason for me to do that. With water cooling I could hit 3GHz but I don't care to spend the money on a new water cooling system.

No thanks. LN2 is useless, a good vapochill system would get my chip in the negatives and wouldn't need to be refilled.

peltiers are cheaper. and they're what "vapochill" uses on their phase change. thcept they use very powerful ones, like 480W Peltiers.

My friend has a 900$ Vapochill. It's pretty amazing. He is able to overclock his 3.8GHz Pentium 4 670 to 5.2GHz stable.
