I like to do these for fun:

If you like them, I will make more of them for you:

To make an image like the one in my avatar:

1. Save this image and open it up in Photoshop (I have Photoshop CS aka Photoshop 8)

http://img275.imageshack.us/img275/5295/thumbs17zo.jpg

2. Using the Rectangual Marquee Tool, select the right hand, then go to Edit, then Transform, then Flip Vertical, it will look like this:

http://img275.imageshack.us/img275/3527/thumbs125uh.jpg

3. Then go to File, then New, and make the image size 450 pixels by 450 pixels

4. Then Right Click your image as seen above, then click Select All.

5. Go to Edit, then go to Copy.

6. Use your Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a square from the top left but don't go to the bottom and right of the page completely, leave around 75 pixels in the bottom and on the right side.

7. Paste the image into that spot that you created and then merge the image into the background by going to Layer, then hit Merge Down.

8. Use your Rectangular Marquee Tool again and this time from the top right of the selection, make a rectangle that selects only the right hand, but make sure that the selection doesn't include the left hand at all and doesn't go down to the bottom of the image.

9. Use the Move Tool which is right of the Rectangular Marquee Tool and move the right hand that you selected down so that the thumbs touch each other like this:

10. Go to Image, then go to Rotate Canvas, then click 90° Counterclockwise and you have this image:

To make the image in my avatar though, you're going to need to keep the image the same size until the end, try and see what you can do to this image to make it cooler

I don't like to do that, I like to go step by step, it's one I made, and no tutorial has this image in it as far as I know, Mr. Critical Gloater @ MrNaPaLm32

With sizing problems, see, w/o the use of a larger image, the right hand would go off the image a little, it also helps with the use of the move tool and rectangular marquee tool

I could just use paint, and select a part of the image and flip rotate verticaly then flip the whole image 90 degrees....Hurray for paint!

no you couldn't, because the thumb won't end up next to the other thumb as seen in the image above where the right hand is flipped

like that image, and it's the same size as my sig, lol

see, the problem is that the left hand is now slightly off the image a bit, good job nonetheless though
