foulplay 12-02-2005, 03:52 PM Already been posted. And Most of those are either just plain wrong or have good reasons.
Rumble pack = Sega cd originally, not 64. Look it up.
Analogue stick was on Sega cd as well (special controllers) before it debuted on N64. Though it was more like the analogue stick seen on the PSP, as it was mostly internal.
Third party developers.....Why wouldn't they want to develop for a better system there's more money in it?
People still care about James Bond games?
Uh...Microsoft has rare, why would they even care, they have SQUARE.
and last but not least that picture is a fake (clearly).
guess_who_i_am 12-02-2005, 09:13 PM funny for a few seconds.

foulplay 12-07-2005, 11:27 PM Please, with your 14 years of wisdom tell me why you hate Sony. I prefer it over Microsoft/Nintendo's Viral marketing techniques (though I must admit the most recent batch of PSP commercials are quite annoying).
Slpnwata 12-08-2005, 05:02 PM I dont know why..i just hate em..
i take sides with microsoft and nintendo but Sony is on my hate list

That explains why Nintendo spent those long months developing it and Sony and Sega snatched it away...
Just because Sega's console released before the N64 did doesn't mean Sega developed the technology before Nintendo did. If you paid any attention during that console era, you'd know that Nintendo was being far too open on the subject of the N64's rumble and analog technologies, and hence, they were stolen before the release of the console...
Once again, your info is faulty. You may want to check the integrity of your sources.

Erm...what do you mean by "better system"? By most videogame standards the N64 was better by leaps and bounds...
I believe I can now call you a fanboy without criticism.
Fanboy.
uber_jedi 12-17-2005, 10:02 PM I think that it is a waste of money to get game consoles.
The PC is best. (for me)
mentalskater 12-19-2005, 05:17 PM wow... so much crap from people, i used to think led zeppelin was a problem... who cares, it was posted for laughs... not for truly serious thought...

I'm a fanboy? I just hate everyone's completely ignorant hatred of certain consoles and love of others. What consoles am I going to buy? Revolution and PS3. Why? They suit my needs. XBox 360 is meant for online gaming, which my PC covers. By better system it's all a matter of the direction the company is going, what suits it better.
Nintendo talked about developing it, and very shortly after sega's was released, how could have they developed it so much faster than Nintendo? You're thinking like Microsoft thinks, patent it before making it, then take your time and actually create it, or just never create it, and claim anyone using the idea is infringing on your copyrights. Whether or not Sega was the first to attempt it, they were the first to release it.

I meant that by textbook definition. Defiance of logic...typical fanboy behaviour. (concerning the PS vs N64 thing) Meh, I guess that was out of place. I apologize, it didn't come out the way I meant it. It was a little more personal then I had intended.

Buuuut...It was still originally Nintendo's idea. I mean, it really doesnt matter who makes it first, it matters who was able to develop the concept. I think Nintendo deserved credit for that one...
That additionally brings up a question I've never really bothered to ask: Why didn't Nintendo just patent the Revolution controller before making it? It reaches public eyes faster, and cannot be stolen; everybody wins, right? Or is it not that simple? I've never really researched patents much.

Aye, Nintendo was the first to announce it, though who knows who actually started it first, it's anyone's guess. Whomever that was, that's who Sony stole it from ;-).
Patents are very shakey in the US, and were about to get shakey in Europe (so much so that it would have shut down several linux distros for using things as simple as a scroll bar.) and they expire eventually as well. ( I believe it is one year, which is why medicine companies have to change the color of their pills every year, just to keep their patent from expiring *scratches head on that one*.
