I got Mario Kart DS today. Im gonna buy one of those Nintendo Wi-Fi USB's when they come out so i can play online at home.

Nice! I wish I had more friends with DSs. The biggest match I've ever set up had 4 people in it (including me), and I was only able to set it up a couple times during exam week. It was cool, though, because we also had a crowd gathered, waiting for a chance to play. But now, I can usually only set up 1-on-1 matches. It would be nice to have more...

And yes, crowds seem to spontaneously draw when you start a DS lan. It's a good feeling. :P

Mario Kart aside, you should definitely put Animal Crossing DS at the top of your to-buy list. That, and nintendo's WiFi USB dongle (much more mobile than a wireless router...). AC and MK totally rock the handheld world. And don't ever get me started on Metroid. You've seen the videos, haven't you?

If you've played previous Mario Kart games, you'll love it. It's the best in the series.

If you haven't played previous Mario Kart games, you have no idea what you're missing out on.

I now play Mario Kart WiFi religiously, and I'm getting close to acheiving Rank * * * on all the Grand Prixes in all the engine classes. I'm finished with 50 and 100ccs, and I'm working on 150cc and mirror. This game has loads of replay value, especially in its multiplayer.

With Wifi, you can compete wirelessly online with anyone anywhere in the world. All you need is a wireless router, and you should be able to play online from anywhere in your house.

With network play, you can compete with up to 16 players that are anywhere within 100-ish feet of the server DS. If you are playing outside, where obstructions are minimal, the range will extend to about 200 feet. If you're all in the same house, you shouldn't have much trouble making a connection to anyone, anywhere in the building. (larger buildings will likely have issues once you get more than 100 feet apart).

I think all you have to do is search for a wireless area in range. That's what I did.

I know! I have a sercure wireless network that I have the WEP for but once I set it up, it connects then fails the second after. So I do know what I am doing, but I dont know what I am doing wrong.
