A computer system up against a company. Doesn't seem like very good choices to go against each other. Not to mention the lack of choices.

I think that he is trying to have people vote on the best Operating system.

I chose microsoft because I just like the way it works more....

Macs are good for everything but games...but Microsoft is good for the games...
So far I like playing games so I guess I'll go for windows for now.

Linux. The next of my choices would be Unix, Apple, then Windows. (in that order)

Linux, BSD, OS X (x86)(if worked fully), Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP, OS/2(ugh).

Xbox aside, I didn't know there was a "microsoft computer". I've seen plenty of Dell, Compaq, HP, IBM, but no Microsoft.

OSX is very pretty, very easy on the eyes, but so damn frustrating to use - in my expreince, at least

I'm assume you've got more experience in Windows than in OS (X). I've used both for several years, OS X has alot more going for it, though I'm impressed with the steps MS has taken with VS2005.

I triple-boot between Ubuntu,Osx86 and Windows XP.Why?Because I can.

I'll post on topic now. MacOS is better than Windows, however Microsoft markets their products much better.

Apple has a better repair system. It's also very fast.

MacIntosh has better security. Microsoft (windows) is apparently easy to hack into...i said apparently because i have never done it.
If Microsoft concentrated on security more, and MacIntosh concentrated on the layout, design and gaming, then it would be harder to choose.
but for now i will have to choose microsoft windows only because i have it and used to it.

I'm quite sure that OS X has dominated Windows in the security, design, innovation, and features....but Windows has mindshare. When I tell people that I use linux instead of Windows on most of my pc's they always think that Windows IS the PC. Sad really.

Part of the reason for the better security and stability of OSX is that you can trace its lineage back to Unix.

One thing Microsoft didn't successfully steal.

My computers suck so bad, a moldy shoe running crab apple would work better.
