Just so you know, system of a down is not the type to scream randomly like most bands out there and they are singing about whats happening currently in our world not about *****es and hoes like those crappy rappers....But i do have to agree with MCR, lincoln park, and green day.

Why shouldn't we listen to them? They're good bands. Just because someone listens to one of those bands doesn't mean they don't listen to anything else.

A number of things;

1. You spelled Linkin Park wrong.
2. You spelled loathe wrong.
3. Taste is subjective.

I myself like every one of these bands you mentioned, including Slipknot. Although I must point out that there is more to music then the lyrics (I believe you referred to it as "screaming"). You need to look farther, into the beats, the rhythms, the chords of the song. That's what makes up music, not some guy "screaming" into a mic.

If you're going to say something like "metal sucks", let me point out that the same instruments are used in metal as in rock, pop, and most other kinds of music, just with different variations and the ways they're used. Take Kalan Porter (I believe that is his name) for a second. He uses a violin for the love of god, and it still sounds fantastic when put with drums and possibly a guitar.

I honestly think that Green Day's last album was entirely unartistic. If you're going to make an album with your political beliefs, atleast don't sacrifice the quality of the music to get your opinion across. No one that you can convert by listening to your CD could possibly be worth having on 'your side'. Look at Lynyrd Skynyrd, they managed to be both artistic and political at the same time (see: Mr. Saturday Night Special). Greenday's most recent ablum.....Political, but hardly artistic or anything more than generic.
