That's a pretty good way to scam someone.

I've seen idiots buy pictures of a product for huge amounts of money.

Example: A picture of an autographed hockey jersey went for 5 grand.

Maybe he wasn't trying to scam anyone, and just got a lot more than what he paid for. :D

If you wasn't trying to fool someone with one word and realy small print at the bottom of the page. Why the hell would you think that anyone would want to buy a box in the first place??

If you want to take it back to the store, they require the box.

And the rules state that the full discription must be in the title, so the person can't do nothin about it.

It's a little obvious it's a scam though.

It's more of counting on stupid people to place a bid than a scam.

That would still be a scam. Use of small print or misleading detail building upto the purchase a product. I mean if the words wern't underlined for everyone, I wonder how many people would have relised that there was something wrong with that product.

starting bid means pretty much nothing in eBay unless it is too high
as for the scam part, it's not like the seller put it in really tiny print in the bottom....the auction title says it's just the box, and the description says "this is just the box" in 3 different ways
