I do digital painting/drawing so I don't really know this kind of stuff. But you could probably play around with the color balance of the head so it won't stand out as much.

I know 8-year olds who can out-photoshop you! I mean honestly...spraypaint a random section of the screen and call it art? That's got to be the saddest attempt at a deviation I've seen to date! :roll1:

I would post some of my own kickarse photoshops if I weren't using the wrong computer...

Oh, and the crack guy was alright, but you needed to make the font flush with the picture, instead of just placing it there. It failed to flush in terms of lighting, color and the overall perfectness of the curves in that font.

The only problem with it, is that the face is in sharp focus. The body/surroundings aren't. Oh, the head is kinda big for the body.

Oh, and your deviations do suck. A lot. They're not even good photo manipulations, there's just fooling around with colors.

The only problem with a lot of photoshop users is that they use the effect side and "OMG LOOK AT TAHT!!11" side of photoshop, they have no conceptuality of actual design or art. I hate that. Like the person above me with the 4-5 pics posted, they all suck a bit. Like the green eyed guy; learn how to cut out the photo. Here's a tip: don't use the magic wand, it sucks. Instead, cut out pics using the pen tool. When you right click it, select "make selection", then go to the marquee tool. Right click with that and press "select inverse", or just as easily go to select>inverse (next to layer and filter). Then, simply delete the selected area. Then you have a nicely cut out thing.

And you guys do use filters. I try to stay away from then as much as I can. Sure, they can have some pretty decent effects, but on the whole they end up making pics cheap. Joining Dev is the best way to become better. By colaborating with actual artists, you can gain experience and help from some really friendly people. You'd be surprised how nice people can be. They have a really strict anti-flaming rule too, so you won't get an "I hate you" post.

Don't go to http://www.good-tutorials.com, it will only get you more into filters and stupid techniques. Instead, find design tuts and art tuts in general. That's where I learned a bunch that helps me in my drawing and painting classes. Sure, I'm still not too good, but I have enough experience in both the thesible art world and conceptual design. I have been comisioned for various things, band logos, t-shirts, etc. So don't take me as some dip**** who doesn't know what he's talking about, I do actually have some real-life experience.

http://abs.gprime.net/5nathan_copy.png is all I have on this computer at the moment. It's a pure vector job(being all of what I've been doing lately is vector). I don't believe in Photo manipulating, it's just the bad side of photoshop.

Anyway, this took me a good 30 minutes. It's hard to believe, being relatively simple, but it's a huge-ass image. It's also my first true attempt at vectoring, and seeing outside of adding a filter or adding someone to another image.

I'm just saying; think outside of filters and photomanipulations. Now that I have image ready, I can get some crazy animations going on. Just like...crazy...and stuff.

But now, the whole fun of photoshop is working hard to make something that's unique, which means by hand, not by a computer.

ok here is a testimony on how filters are for noobs who wanna look kewl this is a pic of myself i only use photoshop once in a while and i never normally use filters but here is what i did in one minute using photo shop and some filters before and after
