Correction: I hate my latin teacher. I don't mind the language. I miss last year though, when I took Spanish.

It's good to know Spanish, as long as it's something you want to learn and you aren't just doing it for college credit or something. I'm planning on having four years of Spanish and two of French, and all my teachers are pretty much competent so I don't really worry too much about getting stuck with something I hate...

Well the thing is, if a teacher is teaching a foreign language from a text book, or tells the students to basically learn the material on their own, nobody's going to learn a thing. Spanish one was: get a big vocab list at the beginning of the year and learn words and additional grammar lessons as we went along. Spanish II is almost completely grammar, with verbs and sentence structures and pronunciation rules, but when we do have a vocab unit we learn it from the teacher, not the book.
