A Buried Treasure is, in this case, a cool video game that did not get a lot of attention. Thing is, you may only post games that you or your relatives legally have or used to have. also, you may not post any games that are part of famous franchises (i.e. Sonic, Mega Man, Halo, Half-Life, Madden, Tetris) or licensed games (i.e. Batman, Spider Man, The Punisher, X-men) unless they stand out from the rest. and you may only post 3 games per post. with that out of the way, let's get started.

No.1: Warlock from Acclaim. it's a cool Genesis game that unfortunately did not get alot of attention, despite it being a licensed game. maybe the movie it's based on was not very popular...

No.2: Zoop from Viacom New Media for the S.Gen, Arguably the best one out there soley because of its catchy tunes. find it, and be prepared for the best puzzle-action since Tetris Attack. and speaking of tetris...

No.3:Tetris Plus by Jaeclo. Ths PS1 port of an arcade game is probably the best tetris game besides the gameboy port. You have your classic mode, and you have this mode where you try and get this professor dude to the bottom of the screen. they even let you make your own puzzles like that and they made a two-player mode out of it. prepare to shell out more than 20 bucks for it, though.

NEXT!

Zoop was a cool game-- i've got it on SNES

I'm gonna post a few, im not toooo sure how well known they are but:

1. Zombies Ate my Neighbors -- SNES -- just one of THE greatest oldskool games i've ever played, unfortunately most of the people I ask havent ever played it, but most of the hardcore SNES fans usually know.

2. Out to Lunch -- SNES -- Basically, your a chef, and all your ingredients have been set free! You must go across the globe recovering all the lost ingredients while avoiding such infestations as Salminella (sp?) and E Coli (sp?).

3. Yoshi's Cookie -- SNES -- Just about the greatest puzzle game ever. Match up the cookies in rows, make 'em dissapear. It DID revolve around some of the more popular nintendo characters, but unfortunately wasnt as well-known as it could have been.

Zoop was awesome, but the tunes are infintely better on the Genesis.

Meanwhile........

(dis)Honorable Mention No.1: Jurrasic Park on the Genesis. It's Jurrasic Park, so it's expected to suck.

No, That was Alien Storm for the genesis. Jurrassic Park was the one where you could be the Velociraptor.

Genesis games are real cheap. PS1 games are too, but it depends on what game you are talking about. (Don't forget, I found a copy of Tetris plus for over $20.)

oh.. well actually i have a game called Jurassic Park in which you move around the park in a 3rd person mode, with guns to fend off the dinosaurs, and when you enter buildings such as the Visitors Center, it goes into a FPS mode. Thats on SNES though.
